full tilt has been bought by k2sports.... this thread is for discussing the flexon boot design from 1981.


The three buckle and flexible tongue design made the boot popular as it flexed... against the fixed back of the boot. The fixed back of all ski boots is a critical design point to allow the releasable binding and DIN setting to function properly. We are literately forcing the boots to flex, which causes all sorts of bodily strains, including knee fatigue , shin/toebang, etc.

Please keep opinions intelligent, open minded, and on topic.

k2 will drive the prices up, just like the pivot binding.

There is room for improvement, freestyle skiing has yet to be born.

But , for matter of fact, i explained to said young woman that i would show her skiing, and nothing more.
our hour long convo of ski flicks from before you were born was enlightening,

I knew him back in the day in vermont 12-15 years ago, now he swears I get paid by newschoolers (LOL) and am hiding all kinds of dark shit? he's absolutely fucking insane and needs help. his parents cut him off. he'll tell you how you need to do nose butters to be good, and he has some weird vendetta against newschoolers and eheath and thinks newschoolers tanked his (completely non and never existent) career, but he's mostly just upset because he was never that good at skiing. there you go.

haha NL absolutely did not, hes a OG. he wore like tan pants and a flat green jacket or just mad earth tones as we all did. NL was pretty sick. was pushing shit in the direction of butters. kind of a hippie dude, super nice, good personality, extremely friendly. at some point he lost his fucking mind. sent me hundreds of harassing messages accusing me of like, taking money and taking it away from young skiers (LOL)? saying i got paid from newschoolers $20 an hour? that sounds fantastic. but he was super good in the beginning, hes just really butt hurt he wasnt that good and nobody cared about his skiing. so he blames newschoolers for torpedoing his career when really, it just wasnt really existent to begin with. N.L. great guy, unfortuntaely psychotic and delusional now.

I was thinking of another Nick then, yeah I remember my first walk through gulch there was a crew of older dudes throwing flips off the first kicker and it inspired me to ride park, if not you guys I wonder who else it could have been, lot of talent at that hill back in the day (and somehow still is just as much)
