full tilt has been bought by k2sports.... this thread is for discussing the flexon boot design from 1981.
The three buckle and flexible tongue design made the boot popular as it flexed... against the fixed back of the boot. The fixed back of all ski boots is a critical design point to allow the releasable binding and DIN setting to function properly. We are literately forcing the boots to flex, which causes all sorts of bodily strains, including knee fatigue , shin/toebang, etc.
Please keep opinions intelligent, open minded, and on topic.
