SuspiciousFishHonestly of all the different training methods I found diving boards to be the most effective. Once you can get a solid jump you can try whatever trick and even if you land on your head your just going into water. The mechanics of a diving board are more in line with skiing than a trampoline too IMO
mrk127Can anyone vouch for slack lining carrying over to skiing? I just started and bought a line hoping it will help with rail balance. Even if not shit is fun
NutsToRailAfter a number of bad knee and hip injuries from football in my younger years I'm pretty concerned about joint stability and strength. Most of my off-season training is focused on those areas as well as explosiveness and endurance.
Stablity: Single leg bosu ball holds, weighted step ups/downs, pistol squat progressions, as well as more bodybuilding style of leg and core workouts just for all around strength.
Explosiveness/endurance: kettle bell swings, goblet jump squats, lunges, Bulgarian split squats, etc.
I just try to keep it fun and remember that most of the reason for my working out is to help me be a stronger skier and to ski longer
