SchizoSkierSo I should just play around with grabs? And what’s misty cork style lol.
pretty much yea. misty cork is when you set the cork forward, almost like a misty or bio. They're much more intuitive on trampolines than regular cork 7s (at least for me, I had a really hard time breaking the misty cork habit on tramps), and they do actually work pretty well for flat or downhill takeoffs, especially if its a powdery big mountain takeoff. But for park and the vast majority of cork 7s in general, you want to set it kinda backflip 360 ish so you're not fighting the angle of the takeoff. I've only done dub corks on tramps, never on snow, but the backflippy set is definitely better for progressing to dubs too.
But yea, you're just a little too flippy, its more of a D spin, but I really wouldn't worry about it. At this stag thats what you want. Just keep doing them, keep doing different grabs, and just by learning different grabs, you will get a better feeling for how to control how flippy it gets. As you learn different grabs, you'll find that some of them change the axis slightly, and you'll start to get a feel for how dropping one hand or lifting a hip or whatever it is that you do to get the grab, it will start to give you a feel for how to control the rotation. Next time you go, do a couple just like this one to warm up, then try to learn 4-6 different grabs, some with your left hand and some with your right. By the time you learn both safeties, both japans, and both mutes, and maybe one where you extend your legs like truck or nosemute, then you'll probably have the axis dialed to where its second nature.
