qazwsxedc34I have a Hiatal Hernia either from lifting or busting and I'm wondering if anyone else has had one and how you fixed it.
Non-stop heartburn and bloating, Drs., said to take an antacid, which doesn't help and does nothing. I need this thing treated at the least because I'm very angry and I want to flip the cars of politicians.

Short answer: call your doctor. Heartburn blows.
What "antacids" have you tried? What dose and frequency? How have you been taking them in regards to your meals? And for how long?
Also there's different types so the right strategy can make a difference as well as when you take it and your diet and eating habits.
The OTC doses are generally much less than the max doses you could take. Your doctor can prescribe higher doses.
Honestly it's probably easiest and cheaper to have your doctor call in a prescription. OTC antacids are unnecessarily expensive. They can also educate on non-pharmacological ways to help with heartburn. Also important to assess for drug interactions if you're on any other meds for chronic conditions since some antacids can interact with certain drugs.
But, assuming you have no other health conditions, and are not on any other medications, here's what I would do for maximum relief. This is not indefinite therapy either.
-
Tums as needed up to the max daily dose on the bottle
Plus
-
Famotidine (Pepcid) 20mg twice a day without regards to food; stop after a week and then only use as needed for heartburn. You can develop tolerance to this drug so taking as needed is best. It will provide quick relief as well.
Plus
-
Omeprazole (Prilosec) 20mg twice a day or 40mg once a day (before breakfast). Take 30-60min before any food. This drug takes about a week to fully kick in.
Your doctor can even prescribe higher doses than this but probably won't unless you are failing at the lower dosages. If you aren't gonna call the doc now, at least do it if you're still having issues 2 weeks later or if it gets worse.
