I am going to start off by saying i have always been a fan of jiberish for 10+ years and i didn't want to write this but i have to, this isn't meant to bash jiberish, but i am just super disappointed with what has happened to them. i don't think there is another person with more jiberish gear still in the original plastic packaging then me. Something i have noticed in maybe the last 4 years is the quality of the apparel and stitching that is produced by them, the collab gear weather it is smart wool or even the supima t-shirts the quality is always good understandably because they are not responsible for the production of those pieces they just slap a logo or graphic on someone else stuff and that's fine. but something I've noticed is whenever it is a sole jiberish product where they are responsible for the production of it, it ALWAYS comes with flaws and blemishes, usually in the stitching. i have older lohi and vault hoodies that are amazing and have last years so i don't know what they changed or why but they need to fix this if they want to be as good as they once were. Considering they are now a " small batch " release company the quality of their products should meet the standard that they are portraying. i am going to attach pictures of some of the poorly produced products i have received, keep in mind most of them have never been worn yet so its not wear and tear but just how they came. starting today i can't justify buying jiberish for a shit product so unless they make big changes jiberish is dead.
this piece has a HUGE bundle of stitching coming out of the shoulder and i managed to cut most of it off but this is what remains
this label on this hat came unstitched and the stitch hanging off of label but i removed the stitch that was hanging off
i don't know what blind chinese infant sewn these but i am pretty sure a monkey could've ended a stitch better than this
i should've known a logo that was stitched on would come with numerous flaws
All in all the quality control for a small batch " high demand " company is absolutely embarrassing

Yeah that’s super valid and they’re quality has gone downhill. I’ll still buy it though, especially the supima T’s. Overall they’re older stuff was way better and cooler in all ways and I’ll still seek it out (got like 5 pieces from pre 2012) but shit I’ll still buy some of their new stuff I’m weak.

I remember going to the jiberish store in park city, really just because it was there and I was walking around. And they didn't have any fucking price tags on any of the items in the store
I have bought countless jiberish items and never really noticed the decrease in quality. It could be a luck type of thing where you kept getting the flawed items but the pictures included look pretty bad I’m ngl.
I’ve got a 7 year old jiberish hoodie that has held up super well. It’s my only piece from them so I can’t really compare it to any of their new stuff but it’s pretty gutting to hear that they don’t make stuff the same way they used to
I don’t ever remember their stuff being high quality. Didn’t stop me from buying it, but can’t think of a single piece that actually stood the test of time.

This. I was expecting this thread to be yet another superficial rant about how they don't know skiing anymore because they dont make that one vest or the liquid swords hoodie or whatever. But OP actually used images as examples etc.
I unironically love their designs nowadays but I respect this analysis and it's definitely annoying how much their modern hoodies tend to shrink. Otherwise I have had no problem and religiously wear my stuff from them.
Also I feel like everyone says this then goes on to buy their stuff every drop lmao
I think I said this in the other thread but I actually like the direction they’ve gone. I’m 23, I work a full time job in an office, I like the fact that I can walk around a professional environment and rock my jiberish polos and windbreakers and stuff like that. My boss gets a kick out of it, calls me a park rat. I like being able to wear some skier owned stuff to my dinner dates and not look like a goon in a 4XL tall T at Avanti.

Feel this too. It’s a skiers brand that fits in just about all settings without looking homeless or a want to be gangster. It’s a perk of new Jiberish (not saying that it’s better than it used to be).

that's not the point i am trying to make here i have clearly been buying there stuff up until the last drop in may, i don't have a problem with the style or design its the subpar manufacturing of the products probably to make a few more bucks, and the non existence of quality control. the problem is the quality of pieces they ship out just to be clear.

My b I just read the poll and thought You meant it in the same way everyone else means it when the bi monthly jiberish slander thread comes around. I haven’t had any issues in quality tho, honestly the materials they get are pretty nice IMO but I’m also not like inspecting my shit as in depth so I can’t say for sure
Kinda unrelated but same shit with fulltilt’s apparel. I got a t-shirt and a beanie recently and was kinda disappointed with both. The “FT” on the shirt started peeling off and the threads on the beanie are all halfway pulled out after light use.
