I have heard terms like high pressure system and low pressure thrown around a lot and I'm not sure what any of it means. I feel like having a solid definition might help me grasp snow conditions a little better. I cant find anything understandable online so if someone could explain to me as if I'm in the third grade that would be great!
In low pressure systems air is rising, when air rises water vapor condenses. This forms clouds and can lead to precipitation.
In high pressure systems air is descending, this can often be associated with bluebird conditions.
basically lows are storms and high winds which comes with rain/snow. highs are usually good because it means clear skies and warm weather and not much wind
