This year I did like 2 backflips at the start of the year and ate shit on both, honestly fine since my form has been broken ever since I learned them so I can just start fresh next year and relearn from scratch

Although tbh I'll probs just ski more backcountry and never do a flip again

As someone who had plenty of opportunities to attempt one on a pow day at Targhee this year (but didn't cuz I didn't wanna ruin my trip with an injury... Also laughably got injured the last day of my trip, ending any back flip aspirations for 2022), fucking go for it op.

Don't be a pussy like the rest of us year after year. Chance of paralysis or death is still pretty low. You'll look badass if you can dial em in and do without thinking just flowing through the mountains.

It took me a while to try one again (and peer pressure). Under rotated several of them because for some odd reason I don't pop off jumps when I backflip haha

That is what I did but I messed up my ankle. I would just recommend committing on a smaller jump with less speed than you think you need. For my first one I was peer-pressured into joining a train. All I did was huck and tuck. I over rotated a little, went to my car, got advil, and tried again and landed.
