Where You Can Still Ski (JUNE 2)

Was up at Mammoth yesterday and the lack of snow led me to finally accept that the season is over-ish. I wanted to source a list of anything still open for riding or holding decent snow that's worth hiking; partly because I may drive north and try to get some more days in, but also because I want to gauge how the snowpack was this year in different NSers locations. Feel free to add on if you have something that hasn't been listed or know of some hidden gucci pockets. Also, if you live near a household-name resort that closed unexpectedly early or late, list that too.

Mammoth closes this Sunday, June 5th

Trollhaugen closed 2months early in second week of March. I was going to go and ski but Ike was like "bruh they closed". Just randomly the season was over.

Crystal is open till the 12th. Timberline is open.

I think that's it for the west coast. Everyone else is closing this weekend at the latest and there's only a few around the county still going even then.

Season was about average on front range for higher elevation CO resorts, if not lacking a bit. Storms really hit end of season. Snow in April and may. Still getting storms

Really wacky season this year. Snowfall was ass-backward.

October - Huge dump. Skied upper mountain at Mammoth before Halloween
November - Bone dry. Resorts closed again.
December - Too much snow? Record-breaking conditions. Highways were closed around Tahoe for half the month. We were all hopeful for a hero season.
January - Bone dry
February - Bone dry
March - Bone dry
April - Winter decides to show up again. Powder skiing and corn
May - Storms semi-frequent. Melting fast

killington is open this Saturday 9-12 for their last hurrah, outlasted tucker and ravine this year.

Lots of snow left in the Wasatch, I've been touring at Alta/Brighton but the snow quality is obviously pretty bad and it's more about the exercise and enjoyment than amazing skiing. Planning to go next week to round out my 80 days this season and then probably call it so I can focus on skating for awhile.

Mt Bachelor and the Central Oregon Cascades have a bunch of pretty quality spring snow rn. Lots of good backcountry lines to be ridden and jumps to be built for the next two months
