Best binding for pow skis

I'm going to be getting a pair of powder-specific skis and originally I was thinking pivots but from what iv read they seem difficult to clip into if you eject in pow. I currently have marker squires but I'm not really a huge fan of them

I'm also only 120 pounds so I don't need 15 dins (I currently have mine set at 9 on my other pair of skis)

If there’s enough snow to jam up the pivot system there’s enough to jam any other. Get attacks if your wary of the pivots.

STHs are very easy to clip into and have not let me down yet, they are a bit heavier than attacks though so if you have them on heavy pow skis it will be a heavy setup, but I find them far more secure than attacks.

Any binding filled with snow is hard to clip into. Powder doesn't stick like heavier snow so it's usually easier to clear out. Buy the binding that you're most confident in riding. Stepping back into it can be managed regardless of the situation as long as it isn't broken. If that's pivots, then get them.

Pivots clog up but as long as you clean out the circular piece before it turns to ice your fine, if it freezes, good luck

Get bindings that you trust, plain and simple. I know it’s a stereotypical thing to simp for Pivots, but I have first hand felt the difference it makes having the 360 swivel. My knees have been saved by those bindings when I’ve crashed on park skis and my pow skis. But that’s just my opinion. If you like a different binding and it has good construction to it, then get that!

i had attacks on my pow skis and they were perfect, they also have a lower stand height than pivots

I have been a die-hard STH fan for many years but I put some Attack 16s on my latest powder setup and really like them. They don't seem as beefy as the STHs but the stack height and lower weight is quite noticeable and appreciated on my powder skis.

It doesn't really matter. Pick the bindings you feel most secure in or are on sale. If you want to overanalyze, you can make the case for STHs because of the large toe is easier to clear out snow. Markers are harder to step into, pivots heel can swing around and be slightly annoying. So favorites/on sale > STHs > Attacks > Pivots > Markers

People don’t understand the pivot. It has the longest elastic travel meaning you can set a lower din and they won’t pre-release as easily. The rotating heal does not do as much as people think and will unfortunately not save you from tearing your acl. I think you can feel this long travel release on some ejects or near ejects. This may just be placebo for me tho

yeah and I live in Oregon so half the time the fresh snow is too wet and heavy to ski anyways
