I'm going to hood this summer and thinking about getting the summer pass. How long is the public park open and do i get access to it with the summer pass?
Public park(mile) is open pretty much all summer. It may move of the snow goes low tide. It moved to be a hike park by palmer the last week or two last season.
The mile pipe closed mid July I think. Jump line was a 3 jump that became a 2 then got smaller.
Snow is looking pretty good up there. I believe the ftc pass add on is $20 and you can add that on for a day to ride the tow parks later in the season. I think it's like 200 for the summer to add it on. Worth looking into.
It's already expesinsive but that guarantees you'll have good stuff to ride. Also mile will start to melt out and eventually youll have to hike back to the lift. Not too bad. Mostly just across the hill a couple hundred yards. But worth noting.
Mile park is pretty fun. It had a nice 18' pipe, 3 pack of proper jumps, and 2 4 or 5 jib lines.
It was a good lap. If you plan to just ride mile and aren't doing the full summer june is your best bet for the most features
There's a portion of the hand crew that just do mile park so their will be park crew their to rake and salt mile. It's not a neglected "other" park.

Awesome you gave me all the info I was looking for! Looks like this summer should be good thanks again.

According to the tline website and the person that runs their instagram, ftc add-on is $120 per day this summer regardless of if you have a summer pass or not

Damn, that either went up a bunch, i misunderstood last year or there's an error.
I was pretty sure tickets were like 100 for tline and 120 with the ftc. The summer pass was 1000 or 12, 1250 ish for the pass woth the ftc. If that was the case that's a massive increase. I didn't buy tickets last year though so I'm not sure.
Hoping that isn't the case because that's a pretty rowdy hike. Summer ops are expensive but 220 a day to hit the tows is expensive, even for camps(im sure there's some discount there).
Mile park will be pretty fun though. Hopefully the snow levels are good enough for a solid build and we skip the crazy heat wave we had last summer.
Raiding to 120 with ftc seems to make sense but having it go from a 21 to 120 upgrade seems like an error.
Hopefully they didn't decide to get wild. I would contact them before buying a season pass. It's expensive but if you're gonna do a good chunk of the summer the FTC add on might def be worth it if it's similar to last year.
Also worth noting. They have the elite 22' pipe up in the tows. That isn't included in the ftc. That's its own thing. Not something you're going to be paying to hit probavly. More for people who's sponsors are paying for them to train high level stuff.
I mean if you're looking for a summer park to ski then T-line is the only place that's worth spending money at and if you have the extra cash then I would look into some week-long summer camps, they're hella expensive but you kind of have your own private park. But if you just want to get some turns in, I don't think it's worth spending the money and I recommend just hiking. even if you don't have a backcountry set up, you can still hike up like 5k vert.
I live in Portland but I just don't have the money so I just hike up and rip the park on my way down

Tline switched over to FTC parks now instead of leasing the tows to specific camps. The camps use the ftc but anyone can purchase an upgrade day ticket or pass and ride the same tows.
The camps still seems like a sick experience but there aren't exclusive camp tows anymore.
timberline operational costs for this summer are up 170%, so expect to be hiking public park all summer unless you are rich or on a ski team paying the daily $120 ($200 for pipe and airbags) FTC fee.
theabortionatorI just double checked last seasons pricing
Day ticket $89, $110 with ftc
Summer pass $999 or $1249 with ftc

They changed the pricing and structure of passes, the FTC pass no longer exist. In order to access FTC you will have to pay the 120 ticket or upgrade your summer pass, everyday you want to ride FTC. Also seems like Bimberline is hiring park crew, so that is always an option...

Yeah thats how it was last year but they’re definitely making changes for this summer. Seems like ftc lift tickets are going to be $120 per day and no upgrades whatsoever for summer passes which is ridiculous

That sucks. I thought the upgrade to the summer pass was a good deal. Maybe theyre trying to cut down the crowds on the tows. Idk.
At least it's 120 and not a 120 upgrade. I couldn't see that being possible. Still 10 more than last summer.

Actually reading that again I think I misunderstood. They said the ftc is a separate product from the season pass or regular summer ticket. Might actually be $220 per day this year which would be a huge bummer
So basically buying the season pass makes no sense period when you can just buy a 120 $ FTC ticket everyday instead of having to deal with (((add ons))).
