patagonialukeDefinitely not light, and for anyone who's worried about Air Tip, don't. The swing weight isn't as hefty as the 118, but that seems more due to the fact that it's simply not quite as heavy. Unlike many Air Tip skis, the Sender Free 110 doesn't have a huge drop off in stiffness once you reach that part of the ski. It's pretty dang strong throughout, actually stiffer through the tips and tails than the 118. If it didn't have the little transparent part in the base, I'd never guess it had that honeycomb insert (in a good way).
It should really be called a BO 110, but I think Senders just sell more, and I'm guessing all their freeride people will (continue to) be on it. It's like a mix between the BO 118 and Sender Ti / Sender 106Ti+, but much more of a 118 than a Sender. Mostly it just has (most of) the edge hold of the Sender Ti and isn't quite as ultra-damp / planted as the 118, but it definitely smooths things out better than the Sender Ti, and it's designed around a way more centered mount point than the other Senders (but you can still drive it). It's cool.
SimkiwinkiSo similar to the sender squad? Will there still be a sender squad next year
patagonialukeKinda, but it doesn’t remind me all that much of the Squad. I’d say the Squad feels like a more directional BO118, whereas the Sender Free is much more like the 118 in terms of shape, rocker profile, and mount point, but with a slightly more energetic flex pattern and less loose / more precise feel than the Squad and BO118.
and I still haven’t gotten confirmation on whether the squad will be returning so I’m not sure

SlowbroAre the Free twins though? It seems strange that they aren't given what I've heard of them

deelonmuskDefinitely a twin. They have like 50 mm of tail splay.
OhJayAppreciate all the details on them 110 Sender Frees. Anyone able to share a rocker profile pic though?
EDIT: Nvm, found it a few pages back

mystery3This is such a generic rental ski graphic. It's kind of sad almost.
SlowbroNext year's edollo's clearly visible in the knuckle huck broadcast. Black with silver patterns on both topsheet and base.

tdolloThe bases are really cool tho and the sidewalls look dope in person. Skied on em today actually, theyre softer and lighter than the QST106. Was doin some naaasty butters on them.

mystery3How did the strives feel skiing hard?
JuviticusIt's only the tail press that's iffy. The 14 and 12 are auto Gripwalk so there's a few mm of play up in the toe when you are in the backseat. Feels more noticeable than the way Look does it. 16 is MNC so almost none of that. In my experience they're not bad otherwise
ejjThis sounds interesting. "Auto" GripWalk means the binding is designed so that it fits the GW bottom-bump without any adjustment or movement. Nothing moves. The binding fits Alpine and GW boots the same.
MNC means you adjust the AFD up to the boot or lower the toe down to fit the boot, depending on the binding.
Is the play you mentioned the specific toepiece movement / elasticity related to the release design? Or could it be DIN or adjustment specific?

Juviticus"nothing moves" is a relative term. Elastic travel is movement and it happens in mnc bindings too. My observation was that the vertical travel in the toe of those models was more noticeable than others
jcaYeah something was wrong with them, you shouldn't feel any movement doing a tailpress.
Raejnies
New Draco freebird
GhiniMore info?
RaejniesJust saw this on nikolai's story, and thought it was the new Draco freebird, replaceing ferox freebird. ~110, twintip, touring.
I just asked him if it was the new ski and he confirmed it. I didn't care to ask for info on it, I'm stoked on Nikolai, not black crows.
JuviticusBro all bindings have movement when you tailpess. That's how elastic travel works. You want no movement get pins. Higher DIN bindings will have less but there will always be some. If you have no movement at all your AFD is set way too tight

SimkiwinkiMight have to buy a few squads if they decide to kill that ski. Would have never guessed I’d like them just looking at the numbers but I’m currently deeply in love. The combination of no speed limit and lose makes me wanna listen to weedeater and take chances
jps2.0you sure about that
the video where logan drops a 90ft cliff the black rossi ski doesnt have an airtip
also jacob wester had a 192 rossi black ops 118 on his insta
Mr_pretzelYeah Logan has a 192 118.
I’m assuming max’s proto doesn’t have the air tip.
However a bunch of the riders(parker, baker, marcusG, jacob) are ripping the model now which has the airtip so it’s probably fine. Hopefully I can try a pair when they come out soon!

jcaYes they have elasticity, but a tail press shouldn't be enough force for you to physically feel your toes moving in your binding.
sicbithGo buy some squads if you like the, they’re done building them
Mr_pretzelThats sad, hoarding engaged.
The new 110s seems sick. 191s are going to rip at 2350g per ski.
Is there a lot more carbon in the layup vs the sender squad?
tdolloBeen riding in these recently, LV 130 with new “dual pivot” gimmick. Boot feels nice, also features “suspension blade” tech which as far as I can tell, doesn’t do anything?
Doesn’t feel like a super low volume boot, but I’ve got some narrow calves and feet; ankle hold is fire

Ghinican you explain the dual pivot system? I dont get it??

heres a bunch of marketing bullshit from their site
GhiniI still dont get it, typical French.. They still do not understand marketing nor the internet not English the language..
sicbithIronically enough the Sender Squad does not have carbon or basalt in it. It was wood, air tip (covered by graphic) metal under foot, and a diago fiber layer. So, yes the 110 has more carbon and basalt in it, poplar core, metal under foot, and the air tip, which was dramatically reduced in size a few years ago. The wood core goes into the shovel now. The 191 is just as smooth and stable as the squad, it's just easier to turn.
Mr_pretzelHeard theyre going to take the line to a free 100 and 120 for 2025. That should be cool aswell.
Mr_pretzelI was pretty sure there was no carbon in either the Sender squad or the BO118.
That’s part of why I like them so much :P
