Northern NY ski tips/homies/places

Titus is prolly your closest bet in Malone. Prolly worth it to get. Small hill but they have a little park. Whiteface gore pass too. Both are prolly closer to 2 hours from you though.

Also snow ridge in Turin is pretty sick on a pow day. That's a bit of a drive too.

I don't think big tupper ever reopened. I think they were trying to at one point. That would be close to you.

There's some good hiking in the Adirondacks. Pretty nice region.

Oak is a little out of your way. Prolly a little over two hours but that's a sweet little hill if you're ever out that way.

Gore is a pretty sick mtn, one of my favorites. Good snow and good trails/layout. Some of the best tree skiing in the east. A couple buddies are building the parks there now. Things are looking really good finally.

Whiteface is a pretty sweet mtn. They used to have a pretty consistent park at least jumps. But it's been hit or miss in recent years. Still generally decent though. Place gets icy af though sometimes. There's a reason they call it iceface. Has aome good steeps though. Spring is the best. Some mid winter days are so brick it's fucking scary though.

Clarkson?? Solid school. But the other guy gave a pretty solid rundown, Gore and Whiteface are the big ones with good selection of terrain and solid parks. Gore is my local, I'm there every weekend. The skiing here is solid but unfortunately we don't get as much natural snow as Vermont. Our cold temperatures allow for a lot of snowmaking tho.

Speaking from when I was going to school up in platts, literally all the northern NY college students end up lapping Whiteface. Managed to meet some kids that went to the schools out in P’dam and Canton over the years, too.

As many as people tell you to get a ski3 pass i just wouldnt do it getting a pass to a smaller hill such as Titus will save you tons of money being half the price on a season pass and is alot less hassle also you can still rip spring slush at the face and gore becuause day passes are usually like half off at the end of season. Another thing, Big Tupper is only closed if you want it to be there really isint anything stopping anyone from going up other than 1 easily avoidable camera plenty of tupper locals go up such as my self. but with Malone being only like 30-40 min away Titus is your best bet, Titus is also much more laid back whether that is good or bad depends on what kinda guy you are.
