DominatorJacquesTBH, it is an issue especially when one is uninsured, or under insured. If you can't pay your bill, guess who has to pay?
All of us through higher rates etc. So even if it's just you getting into the hospital, it affects many others than yourself.
If were going to go with that lets at least have universal health care.
I feel like otherwise we're just jumping through hoops to piece together an argument for seat belt laws.
Assuming that you crash, assuming you get i jured, assuming you don't have insurance. We're not talking a huge percentage. Sure medical bills can be expensive but people not wearing a seatbelt is not the reason our health care system is a dumpster fire.
It's weird to me out of all the things we've latched onto seat belt laws so strongly. Again i wear mine almost always. But if you don't want to, you shouldn't have to.
It's an unnecessary law and just give an excuse for more traffic cop bs.
Also if we're going to go for something actually helpful, enforcing headlight laws would be a better usage of time. But that will never happen.
