Anyone taking their AP tests rn? I got psych in a hour and then seminar and us history Thursday and Friday. And then got my SAT Saturday. Fuck college board!

AP tests would have been a smart idea for me. But on the other hand, I think I am learning the subjects the AP classes I was in better now at the college level. It is hard for high school teachers to teach at the college level. It would have been nice to be ahead in my classes tho.

If you pass the test you can get college credits which are a lot cheaper than taking the class in college. So you end up saving money

NoahsArkIf you pass the test you can get college credits which are a lot cheaper than taking the class in college. So you end up saving money


You can test out of classes too, I got to skip like 3 math classes when I went to college because of my test score in math.

Good luck! I took a few APs in HS and skipped some of BS general ed classes in college. It's worth the struggle. Fuck college board for profiting on students

This is the correct take. The couple AP courses I took helped me a lot but its whack that College Board is pretty much the only option and pluck that $90/test fee from students just trying get a foot up.

The problem is the fact that they have a monopoly on testing. It’s fucked the college board makes like 1.2 billion. I’m glad that the SAT isn’t really needed anymore and hopefully AP tests follow suit. But for now it’s kinda a no brainer to take them for the credits and strength of schedule

So you get credits, which are hundreds per? I believe, and it gives you a leg up/ advantage but not worth 90. One days lift ticket.

Great idea
A little two edged sword there, however...def good way to pick up credits, get the feet wet college wise... the drawback is still being around homies and that fun if it's a local community college, it's tough to study when bros want you out with them.... outta town might be better

I’m taking my history class through COCC and getting credits for that. It’s more expensive than getting a AP credit though I’m pretty sure. Gonna get dual enrollment for my math at osu cascades next year.

Dual credit is more expensive but you are guaranteed the credits if you pass instead of it being based on a bullshit standardized AP test.

Do you need 300 level math at OSU cascades? Otherwise why don’t you take math for cheaper at COCC?

Yah that’s true but I’ve been pretty good at passing AP tests so🤷🏻. I’m not completely sure if I’m taking it at osu or cocc but I recall my counselor saying osu.

You sound like an edgy little punk ass lol. What's wrong with teachers? Sacrificing ever making good money so they can work overtime for the children, just like Henrik preaches. Believe it or not, some people actually like school, including many of your favorite skiers. It's fine that you don't, it's fine that others do. Took all the AP classes to look good on my transcript and get into a prestigious college...

Think I took like 6 of the tests and scored a 4 or 5 on all of them...

Got into a good college...

That didnt accept any of the credits lololol...

Holy Cross in Worcester MA. They'd only accept 5s and for only subjects you weren't majoring in. I got a 5 on Lit and the other English one (I cant remember what they were actually called) but I majored in English so that didnt count, and I got 4s on US and EU history which they didnt count because they werent high enough.

Was whatever tho cause I just got to take 100 level classes which were mad easy and helped boost my GPA
