Boot recommendations?

You can get more adjustability on FTs by moving the cables or getting longer ones

Anyone have any recommendations for similar boots to ft, but with a wider upper, or more adjustability?

you could try a regular tongue liner instead of the wrap liner. Try on the first chair with the regular liner. I had the same problem with big caves but I got longer cables and just let the liner mold a little.

Exactly what my best friend did, he wanted to get the B&E's the fit was perfect for his foot, but he had a weird pressure point on his calves, he ended up on a pair of FT descendant 90 to get the same fit but with the classic liner instead of the wrap and it fits him perfect.

I actually tried his B&E's for myself before he send them back and I just kept them, the wrap liner is actually perfect for me, I'm tall so my calf muscle starts higher and the leg part inside the boot is quite skinny so the wrap holds me nice and tight.

You can remove the cuff spoiler on full tilts to make more room for your calves, that's what my boot fitter did for me. Make sure to tape over the screw to not tear into your liner, though.

Go to a boot fitter, and don’t buy full tilts. Get a performance boot that’ll allow you to get the most out of ur setup but still be comfy.

Only advice really is work out which manufacturer and which boot within their lines fits you properly. There will only be a couple of choices most likely as the width at heal, toe box and so on will be different in race vs park vs beginner boots etc and manufacturers also tend to have a profile. Go try loads on, find a fit that is right and has required flex profile / characteristics you need and get it moulded / blown to fit your foot properly. I also ski park a fair bit but ended up getting a pair of Scott powerfit G1 130 because they fitted better than anything else, get no pressure points and there is no pressure point on the shin, because the of the fit perfectly distributing pressure across all of the front of the tongue. Then once you've got the true fit sorted, its off to the disco with your new shoes on, like Paolo Nutini
