Probably because he was sick of the monotonous, ever-turning and grinding gears of time. The other side of the road was never really the goal, but rather a seemingly unreachable destination that, if attempted, promised the sweet embrace of the void. He was prepared to shed the restraints of the world and lay in the forever box. Somehow he made it to the other side though lol what a fucking bitch.

Not really, just learned about Maslow's hierarchy of needs in every business management class from 9th grade through college.

In high school there was this side entrance near the pool that led out to the student parking lot so we would put a pen in the door so it didn’t shut and lock behind us and would drive and go get mcd’s and shit. Sometimes I would do the same thing but not come back and just go skiing lol.
