Pls help me pick a ski

I’m indecisive af so I can’t be making decisions for myself when it comes to buying skis. Looking for a pretty much strictly park ski that will be decently durable, around the 173-178 length range, and somewhat on the lighter side as I’ve always had heavier setups (just not looking for a noticeably heavy ski for swaps and stuff) I ski like 90% park 10% all mountain, slightly more rails than jumps as well but pretty even honestly. Also not looking for anything super soft, I still like my big jumps. Skis I’m currently looking at are arv 96’s, prodigy 1.0’s/2.0’s, revolt 95’s, icelantic 95’s, and liberty helix’s 88 or 98. Let me know what y’all think, I’m def open to other options as well

I like these suggestions but for the Icelandics are they are bit soft for bigger features? That’s my only concern

Also for the helix 98’s is 172 kind of short? I’m like 5’7 and I’m used to riding 181 magnus 90’s and 177 reckoners

Get the nomad 95’s or the arv 96’s. Icelantic’s are just generally bombproof and fun skis, arv 96’s are all around a great value and a super versatile ski.

I have ARV 96s and absolutely love them for skiing park in midwest and they have good support in tail and can still butter plus really good anywhere on the mountain

ARV are definitely bombproof skis that aren't boards but you wont wash out on jumps either. Also can be found pretty cheap

How much do u weigh, and what’s a big feature to you? When I demoed them I thought the flex was dialed in perfect

I’m 145 , 5’7 and what I mean by big features is like 30-45 foot jumps

I had nomad 95s for just over two seasons, durability-wise they're pretty good and hands down the most fun ski I've had in the mountains, but dude for jumps if you're not landing bolts once the skis have been broken in a bit you're almost guaranteed washing out. I ended up switching to poachers for the past few seasons and I can't say enough good stuff about the ski, but they're for sure a bit heavier. Nomads are great but not so excellent for bigger jumps I found

Ya that’s what I figured about the icelantics probs gonna go with something stiffer. Wish the Liberty helix 88’s were in stock cause I think I’d cop rn

i skied the royales this year and i loved em. durability wise not great but super fun skis. for what you’re looking for i’d go for either the sniper which is a 90 underfoot slightly stiffer park ski or the give’r which is 100 underfoot and is more of a park / all mountain ski.

Helix 88 is a great choice. Super light, loads of pop, stable on jumps. Ive been on mine for ~30 days, hitting rails every day with some rock jibs thrown in and only 1 edge crack.
Prodigy 1.0 is a great option too and more versatile. I'm still running a pair as urban/rock skis after 300ish days. They'd still be functional as a daily driver if I needed them for that.

Lol why not? Rider owned brand with a commitment to sustainability, they're just expensive af. Sounds like their park ski is what you are looking for

Idk something about the all red topsheet doesn’t do it for me and ik topsheet don’t matter but 1000 skis are the one ski that bothers me

hey! I can confirm the fauna alparkas in a 178 seem like a good option. I ski 90% park with 10% all mountain, (maine has small mountains) and the faunas are a really light and fun east coast park ski. took me a minute to figure out buttering them but they are really stable on jumps so i didnt mind. Ive skied 60+ days of rails on them so far and while i definitely have some edge cracks, nothing is pulling out of the ski and no core is exposed. Also, if you use code milo15 when you order you will get 15% off (or about 100$) from ur skis!
