Holidays are Fake

Let's be honest. They're just reasons to party. Why do we need a set day to get together? Irrelevant. Jesus isn't real. Thanksgiving never happened. New Years is a stupid tradition. Valentines is an excuse to make up for all your shortcomings and actually care about your spouse for a single day. No actual holidays serve up their true meaning. Memorial day? Oh you mean picnic day. Gifts are forgotten quicker than it takes to think of a gift. I could go on all day.

Also annoying as fuck when people make a big deal about attending a holiday. Like we don't all work Monday-Friday 9-5.

MFs pay me to stay home from work so I am going to do it big. You don’t have to be religious to see that the holidays basically celebrate the season changes and solstices, humans have done so for hundreds of thousands of years it’s just a part of living on this planet

Nah I just get annoyed when people throw a fit about attendance. It's especially annoying if you can recognize how trivial holidays are.

I literally said none of that. You're clearly offended since you're the one replying multiple times to this post with very low effort slights. I get angry when people get angry that I can't or don't want to participate in their celebration. I topped it off by saying how pointless it all is so that aggression towards nonparticipants is even more ridiculous. How is that difficult to understand?

Ima hop back in here because holidays like valentines day, st patrick's day, any other hallmark holiday can kick rocks.

Holidays like memorial day, labor day, 4th of july etc are necessary and good for us, its nice to have something to look forward to.

Easter is fine, xmas/thanksgiving are fine too, to me they're holidays you gather with your family, not everyone likes their families so I understand but for me, idgaf about the religious stuff, just nice to gather with family.
