Denver is not at all representative of the mountain regions in CO.
I can tell you both anecdotally and with access to detailed ski area weather and snow data that historically Dec and Jan are prohibitively cold and often dry, where as March and April are very snowy months. There’s always outliers and whatnot, but it’s true generally here.
October and November are toss ups, but it’s common to see big storms early season, followed by cold temps and high pressure ridges around the new year (which leads to the famous shitty continental snowpack structure of old faceted/rotten snow getting buried later in the season). February is also a toss up with it being either more cold temps and little available moisture, or slightly warmer and snowier.
But, those are just trends, and there’s similar moisture patterns in the spring and summer with monsoon like seasons where the atmosphere is unsettled, thunderstorms are likely and it rains/storms nearly daily.
All that said, things may be changing, and every year looks different.

But.
Most of us have been alive the last 12 years, not so much the last 200.
And you know it's only going down
