And if I'm skating a really big feature or hill or contest, it looks whack NOT to wear one.
oldmanskiI didnt use to but as of lately I have. A few weeks back my kid and I were at the local skate park and there was a dude there that was a wee bit younger than I that fell off his board backwards. He was barely rolling, you could tell he hadnt been skating long but the sound his head made hitting the concrete, ugh. I was off to the side grabbing a drink when I seen and heard it, the thud it made, I new for sure he was hurt. I ran over as he was getting himself up, said he was okay but I knew he wasnt. His lady friend he was with drove him away, but since then I have worn one for myself. My head is way to important to get an injury, especially when I can prevent most major impacts by wearing one and me, having a history of concussions too. I use to think I was invincible like others have posted, but I guess I have reached that age where I am more cautious and skeptical of things like this. To each their own, I want everyone to be safe and do what they want to do, just dont criticize others for protecting their goods, now get of my lawn!
