I have sinned and posted edits on my photography insta while I wait for film to get developed and scanned. Feels weird asf to me since I kinda believe they belong on YouTube and NS but idk it’s a video from December lol. New videos definitely aren’t going straight to the gram tho

not everyone has the time or snow to make a full street part tbh so sometimes people wanna share the few clips they got on the gram. Also way more people are gonna see that on the gram if ur a nobody. People aren’t tryna grind street clips to then get 17 views on YouTube. I don’t necessarily support the short attention span and quick satisfaction that Instagram brings but let people do whatever they want ya feel? Not everyone has resources to make a super dope street edit

There’s nothing wrong with dropping shit on the gram here and there but there’s some people out there fully capable of making something worthwhile but instead post it on the gram as separate posts or little mini edits for the “views and likes”. Shits so wack.

I tend to post pon di gram bc like said previously it’s a wider audience. If I were to post something just to NS or YouTube it would basically never be seen….

on Instagram I can share w all my friends, family, and find a larger regional/ski focused audience.

I agree tho there’s tons of cringey shit and hashtags on insta, but honestly you get that anywhere - NS, Reddit, YouTube, insta, FB, TikTok it’s all social media there’s cool stuff and there’s cringey attention whore bs.

To me the content and the presentation matters more than the platform 🤷‍♂️

Ya i ski by myself 80% of the time and usually strictly post the few clips i get on the gram or newschoolers because im not going pro nor doing anything ground breaking just fucking around at my local. I agree with weast on the street edit thing those have no business being on instagram. I also really dont like the excessive posting from a lot of "instagram skiers", feels like they're crying for attention. Fuck it dude you're overthinking it no ones mad at you.

Yeah i post like a clip everyday but i don’t really care about views and likes i just try to be entertaining for the people that likes my skiing (im working on edit behind that tho)

I know for a lot of people it’s gotta be an ego thing. Wise words of a good friend,

Which is the damn truth, I’ve even posted clips or a little insta edit here and there when I’m bored or feeling shitty lol. Never even thought about it as a whole until then.
