KevenI ski the west, I currently have the bentchetler 100s. I am getting into park and is looking for a more park focused ski. I am looking at the arv 96, 86, or the b dogs. I'd consider the vinshu wets but I feel the 177 might be a little long because I am 174 cm. Any reccomendations?
Coleg55No the wets aren’t long they have tons of rocker making it fell a bit shorter. Also they’ll be fine with jumps. Sure wets are not crazy stiff but if your landings are solid you’re fine.
the arvs were a boring ass ski imo, much more of a “traditional” park ski where as wets I’ve heard are just fun
BradFiAusNzCoCaI got a really great park recommendation from what you mention. It comes out next year. I’m, also, 174. It’s a 182 Fauna Omni.
Take the softness and playfulness of a blend or wet (but more a blend because it’s camber you flex through - more realistically a chronic tbh) that has a 100 underfoot and is playful but jibby and snappy when you want it to be. Basically you can throw it everywhere and you can make it soft when you need and ride it out when you need it too.
Hard to explain but stupid fun ski.

goatmasterDo you want to butter around or hit big jumps or a combo of both? You are looking at a pretty wide spread of skis. B dogs and wets are pretty soft so a ton of fun for butters and rails. Arv series is going to preform better on jumps. You can definilty stiff butter them but they are much stiffer than the other skis you are looking at.

KevenYeah I was thinking of a more buttery ski and I think the wets or bdogs will be more suitable for me right now
LipSlideMyBallsu should look into the surface givers, they have the same dimensions as the faction candide 2.0 but they ride like a beefier and tad stiffer than the blends. in addition to this these skis take a beating and are pretty cheap. if money is not an issue get 1000 skis.

HomerPimpinwhat do you mean by traditional? i’ve been looking at getting the 2023 arv 86s since i’ve heard a lot of people say armada’s have good build quality, but i’m wondering if i should be getting something different after reading through this thread. i’ve never touched a rail in my life and have only done 3s and 5s on jumps, though i wanna try rails. i like ripping around and doing butters and shifty’s, so basically no jibbing. should i be getting something a little softer for buttering? the cheaper the better but i’ll take any recommendations, i really have no idea what to get.
