Portable summer jib setup

Hey guys, unfortunately it looks like my ski season might be over as the weather has been pretty shitty here the past few weeks. I'm still looking to get some practice in over the summer though. I've made a summer jib before, but I live in an apartment now so I don't really have anywhere to build. Do you guys think I could make a portable setup that I could plop on a hill for some sweet summer rail hits? I was thinking about just laying down one or two 8' pieces of plastic lattice, then adding a small astroturf kicker and a PVC pipe at the end. My main concern is just getting enough speed, since a natural hill is not going to be as steep as a drop in. Let me know if any of you have ever tried anything similar, or if you have any other thoughts about this. Thanks! :^)

make a drop in/setup out of dirt in a nearby forest and just throw down the turf when u wanna ride it?

That's actually a pretty good idea, though the forest is a lot farther than the closest hill. Technically it's state land too so you're not supposed to dig, but fuck the police!! If I can't get my portable setup to work, I'll probably give that a try

Probs forest is a better idea. A portable steup you can feel comfortable on probably would be super heavy or not feasible. Maybe you can make a wood structure in the forest?

Definitely can't build anything there, besides maybe stacking some logs for a drop-in. Sounds like the forest is my best bet though, so I'll head out there sometime this week to look for spots. Hopefully I can find some good natural terrain that doesn't need much extra work

Anyone has any idea where to buy that artificial slope surfaces in Europe? I also want to build some small summer jib setup with a PVC pipe and a box, but I am failing to find any sites selling this stuff

i have three of these and bring them to which ever skating rink has the most snow.

you can adjust the height and make kinks. i usually use some ratchet straps to anchor them together butt to butt

Word, there's a rink by my house that might have snow. Presumably they'd just be dumping it outside? IDK, I'll call to ask about it if I can't find any around the building. As for the rails, I think it'd just be cheaper if I made my own, but I'll keep that in mind if my rails don't end up working.

this is in the US, I was asking for similar sellers in Europe.

Can anyone give some input on how standard turf feels like? Especially compared to a dedicated surface like Msnow?

Turf is just plastic grass cleats will slide on it but idk about skis

I can't compare to mSnow, but turf is pretty slow. Gives decent edge control though. It'll work fine for a simple backyard setup, especially if you're on a budget. My drop-in was two meters high and I used turf; it was slow, but I got enough speed for a short rail when I lubed it up with soap and water. I'd consider going a little taller than that if I were you
