Owen was robbed, Cal Carson was treated like a toddler by x games and the announcers (am? really? an am??), and karsteter needs to develop a style.
There are my take aways, toss urs down

eheathits insane how jealous you are and how unaware you are that everyone can see it.
Jemsam i jealous that owen didn’t podium? yes kind of but am i jealous of karsteter? not a fucking chance
eheathyou are insanely jealous of jackson dude, your homie/favorite not doing as well isn't relevant, this is about you not owen.
Jemshow am i jealous of one of my least favorite skiers? must mean im jealous that andri can quad and i can’t. i don’t see your point.
eheathif you dont like him then why do you talk about him and shit on him? just dont say anything, you think you need to say something because your insecure and jealous.
Jemsi can shit on whoever i want and you’re the only one who actually cares 😎😎
eheathnah youre just the clown thats obviously jealous of someone who is better than they are at something, just get over yourself dude, jackson is an amazing skier and doesnt post online about how much he doesnt like Jems.

NPFowen wasnt robbed (big props to the kid he for sure got his name out there for that), cal is most definitely an am. everyone in the comp minus ahall colby and mac (tucker is on the border) was an am. i dunno wtf you're talking about with karsteter haha i thought he was kinda robbed. 3 different features, 2 front 9, 2p8, s2 back 8. i had them all in the high 80'5 low 90's in my head. super spin to win, but he laced them all. for the amount he is spinning his style is as good as it could be. i definitely prefer poles, but he keeps his hands down so we good.
was cool to hear twall's goal for the comp. hope he can bring it together and get more of them going and have a proper super final every year will all the best rail dudes.

p.arnesonmy apologies for referring to Cal as an AM.
anyone that came out of the qualifying field I guess I just classified as that. But I did talk about his child
labor segment, the tricks he did in qualifying, as well as the fact that he was one of my favorites in the field.
So again, I apologize if that came off as me treating him like a toddler.
J-DunnI’ve been thinking for like 2 months about a game of SLVSH :
Jackson Karstarter VS. Siver Voll
NPFcal is most definitely an am.
MaimHelpsiver would 10000% win

hi_vis360he has a pro model ski and gets paid by a ski company to ski. what's your definition of pro?
eheathThe fact is that the term am and pro get misused all the time and it's not that big of a deal and the skiers you are labelling care even less.
hi_vis360I agree, the definition of pro/am is extremely vague in skiing and it's not a big deal, but if some dude has a pro model and is getting paid to ski he's a pro. At that point calling them an am is objectively and by definition wrong
eheathI will respectfully disagree, this isn't skateboarding. Tons of "pro" skiers don't have pro models, lots of skiers I wouldn't consider pro have "pro models" for smaller companies, if you want identify skiers this way then do you, but it's just not the same as skateboarding.
To me a "pro" skier is someone who makes enough money from skiing without working a job/doing something else to make a living. Tons of your favorite skiers have to work a summer job to support being a "pro" skier.
In the end, the definition of pro or am is just a label that serves no purpose other than to say "that skier is better than that skier".

Jemshe’s right though mostly
eheathThe classic "i have nothing to say because I know hes right" response.
BingPowdude it’s not that deep, i replied to your post and typed in three letters
eheathHow is putting little to no effort into responding an excuse for saying something with no merit? You can do better.
BingPowhave you never said sus ironically?
eheathHow am I supposed to know your three letter word is sarcastic? This shit is on you brother man.
BingPowalright my b
eheathYou're good man, I am a fan of conversation and discussion, if you're just tryin to make a joke or whatever thats cool, but I try to encourage people to have discorse with others.

hi_vis360I never said that pro skiers had to have pro models, like markus eder is obviously a pro but doesn't have a pro model ski that I know of. I get that its not skateboarding either and I'm well aware that lots of my favorite skiers have summer jobs.
Personally I think your definition of a pro is a little narrow, and also kinda confusing when you take into account that a lot of skiers are being supported massively by their parents to go to a ski academy or travel around the world on the FIS circuit. It's impossible for us to know who is actually making it and who's just riding that trust fund wave.
So for me, if somebody is getting paid to ski (not just free gear) and has a pro model, that's a pro skier. Saying that a guy like cal carson isn't a pro just because he has a summer job is kinda silly in my book.
eheathI can get behind it, call whomever you want pro in the end we all know who is "good" as soon as you watch them ski, ya know? I just wouldn't expect anyone to say they're a professional at something without it providing a living for them, but only top tier of skiers get paid that much, so there is a huge middle ground of "semi-pros" which I cringe at even typing out. Either way, I think we're on the same page.
weastcoatNo one cares about those so yeah siver would still win
J-DunnPoint being they can both 810 out either way in anything and 3 swap anything either direction sooo………..whoever goes first would have a large advantage I think. I’m not even saying Jackson would win. Would be an epic game however
ski_salmon69Ahalls 4 on backswap cont 2 or whatever should not have scored that high, kinda became spin to win, but cal kept it super fun. I forget who did it but the misty out of the t rail was way underscored i think it got like 82
hi_vis360I really wish there was a clearer definition, as well as a clearer definition of who was on which company's "team." I remeber back in the 2000s there was the K2 factory team, the OG armada team, and the line team during the skogen sprang/mike nick/eric pollard era was pretty well defined too. Vishnu had a good defined team for a bit but I feel like even that has kind of dissolved. I think it's cool when a company creates an image around a set group of riders rather than relying on instagram aesthetics to create a brand.
LipSlideMyBallsthat would b jackson, man got robbed
skiermanLOL yeah man, punching the ground on impact was like so SMOOTH
