Are there any technical manuals/books about freestyle skiing technique? Like you think there'd be some literature on stuff (aside from the PSIA-AASI freestyle tech manual cos I want to see if I can pirate something before I pay) like this since there are whole comps and teams and reglulations etc. Even an authoritative reference on all the trick names and stuff would be useful, I still have no idea what a lip on is

say you slide right foot forward so your natural rail slide is coming at the rail from the right side of the lip and then sliding right foot forward, lip on is coming at the rail from the left side so you have to rotate slightly more than 90 degrees to slide the rail right foot forward.

Probably is somewhere but just watch a bunch of ski stuff and u will learn
slvsh probably helps the most, u can slow down or rewatch tricks until you understand them

The best way to learn is really just to watch SLVSH or any other vid where someone is calling tricks. Here is an FIS trick list,

Its not great, and doesn't explain too much but its got most of the tricks you'll see thrown in comps on there, and if youre confused about something, you can always look for a vid on youtube and slow it down.

and ya a lip on is when ur tails (or noses if ur riding switch) go over the rail first when rotating on.

PSIA drives me crazy how they tend to gate keep information like this. I’m in the central region where we would have to pay for it. I just ended up downloading it from the northwest region for free.

This is all street knowledge.
You can only learn this stuff through oral tradition, passed down through the generations.

Idk if you just mean for rails, but there's a very informative trick guide on here for big air rotation names (rodeo vs misty vs cork vs bio, etc.)
