powpatrolYou would undo the screws, make two holes in the new strap and then secure it again. Yes you could put an intuition liner in and yes generally it helps with shin bang however the main reason people end up with shin bang is because they ski backseated.
sullivanobrien_i end up with shin bang bc i do frontflips on things that arent big enough and i dont tuck
powpatrolmaybe stop doing that and then the shin bang will stop 🤔

But i’m pretty sure you can just drill holes in the patriot straps where you need them to fix to your current boots.
There might also be a ratchet style atomic strap available that would go on your boots without modification so you don't need to get and drill into patriots
mystery3You still have to drill out the rivets and punching a small hole in the nylon webbing material is easy with a tiny screw driver or punch, you can even just use a nail or screw. Removing the rivets can be a hassle, be careful not to heat them up too much and melt plastic.

FaunaSkisThey're allen bolts, no drilling out required.
I'm sure some lower end/lower performance boots have the power strap rivetted on but on the higher end boots like the ultra more components are bolted on for easier replacement. Every fixing that's bolted on costs $ in parts and labour compared to firing on cheap rivets, and for people in lower end gear, they're less likely to blow a buckle or want to take off a strap, so there's a compromise made meaning they can sell the boot for less.
mystery3Atomic likes rivets apparently, it does reduce likelihood of a failure on a power strap. The Hawx Ultra XTD 115 and 120 both have rivets. While not top of the line in the case of the 120 it's still a full featured boot.
