How do you get to summit county from Denver with no car?

I’m 16 and don’t have a car anymore, is there like a bus or something I can take to copper and back on weekends or is my season kinda over lol. None of my friends ski that live in denver so I can’t get a ride with them

Can you meet your friends at the hogback and carpool from there?

I know there are some busses but I don't know any details about them.

The train to winter park probably is cheaper than gas now.

You can try ride share apps but being 16 that's a little sus and might not work.

Your best bet is finding new friends who live near you where you can split gas.

Another thing you might consider if you feel up to it is taking a college class online at Metro State or Community College of Denver.

It's very easy to apply and register for a class for Fall. If you're a registered student, you can take advantages of the resources of the Auraria Ski and Ride Club (that's the name of their fb group, fyi). Check out the MSU self paced online classes.


Besides that, online college classes double count as High School credit so why not just start college online now?

There's probably a way you can game it to get 1st period off and take an online college class in its place.

Hell, you can get as many periods off as you want if you take CLEP exams.

Lol everyone hating on this but some of it is pretty on point. CO has gotten too crowded for my liking and certainly has its fair share of entitled/obnoxious transplants. If you're lucky enough to find housing in Summit County, thats a different story, but getting a lot of days in from Denver/further metro areas is fuckin tough and overrated, especially if you can only ski on weekends. My heart goes out to all my I-70 souljas still making it happen
