Idk. On the one hand surfing the pipe is fun. On the other hand it sucks when people do it in the spring. Especially on the first few hits.
Sucks when even the first 2 hits are all fucked up. At hood the traffic coming through mile when the tows shut down the pipe would go from fun to unrideable so fast.
Sucks, especially if there's a good hike sesh going.
SofaKingSicktry a flip, flares on a vert wall are like the least dangerous flip possible. if you underrotate you just land on your side on a super steep wall
i know that's not a swerve trick, but it's fun/easy/low consequence. i can do them and my second best pipe trick is "pretend i got a phone call and skip the pipe"

Can't remember her name atm but her routine this season was boost the 1st in a straight air, and grease the flare left, flare right on 2nd and 3rd hit. Maybe @Twig remembers?
I was kinda imagining something mirrored like that for 4th and 5th hit but doing swervy alley-oop Polish Donut things 3/4 the way up the wall.

yeah i think there are a ton of cool possibilities for swerve/butter/flippy stuff. i love the polish donut idea, and idk if you've seen it but i think it's education of style where phil and/or henrik do some dope pipe stuff that isn't the typical pipe run, nose butter flips and stuff. might be some good food for thought/inspiration
theabortionatorSucks when people fuck up a nice hip too by hitting it like a shitty side jump to flat. But that just is what it is.
Pipes can get unrideable if people surf them and the snows soft or they don't get cut often.
A couple years ago we busted the old pipe cutter out of retirement and made a nice QP to make all the old dudes happy, thought they were going to lose it when kids started to do surfy stuff on it.
