Replying to My dream
Ever since I was a kid I had a dream to be able to compete in freestyle skiing. Once I turned 10 I found out about the X Games and was absolutely blown away by the things the competitors could do. I started watching the winter olympics after that as well. I was super motivated to go skiing about three times a week and I wanted to improve so I could compete some day, but now for the last 5 years I've been skiing actively hoping to improve and I even went to a "freestyle school" for one season. When I first started out I got the basics down pretty well, but after that I just did the same things for three seasons cause I was scared to try new tricks cause I felt like I didn't have what it takes. This season I got my first real "tricks" down which were a 360 and a front 270 out of a pvc pipe. I'm slowly starting to lose my motivation to try to improve cause my goals seem so unachievable since I can't get any new tricks down. I just don't feel like I could ever even compete in a local freestyle competition cause my improvement is so slow and minimal. I just don't want to give up though, since it's the only dream I've ever had. I need to work on my mindset, but I don't know how. I'd appreciate any and every tip you guys have to get me motivated to keep going. Thanks for reading this way too long story that probably had about 60% unnecessary text. Also sorry if this seems like I just want attention.
