edited a video on Davinci, went to upload to YouTube and video got absolutely destroyed quality wise. Anyone have an idea? My hmc shoots 720p 60fps but on Davinci it looks so much worse. Could my laptop be causing the issue maybe?
When you export and upload a video online, you are compressing your compressed video files 2 more times, of course it looks better in the editor.
Make sure you're exporting at least 10mbps, but no need to go past 20. YT will compress it to 1-2mbps so its all about giving YT the cleanest version as possible, ya know? its always gonna look worse tho.
Make sure that after rendering the edit you download it and watch it before exporting it to YouTube. It could have been the quality you saved it as. If it looks fine there you know it’s a YouTube quality thing. Also might be the frame rates of the clips being off.
You also need to set ur template when you open a new project to avoid davinci frame rate. You can make presets for every time you make a new project that will prevent you from having to do it each time
