BingPowmaybe you should be a better friend and help your buddies out, you looking for a quick solution to skiing with better skiers, but it ain’t like that
JacksonA125I can’t help them, they want to stay within their comfort zone, which is totally fine, they’re still my friends and I love em, it just puts me in a shitty spot wanting to progress and only riding with people that don’t want that. It seems like everyone on here has a group of homies that push them and I’m looking for how they found that group
IHatePedophilesFuck friends ski by yourself and mob out to some music and shit
twinkle_toesOr want to stop every 30 minutes to smoke a joint and slam a beer.
STR1NG_B3ANpost some flyers around town saying that you're hosting tryouts for new ski friends- just be ready for a hundred redbull + monster athletes to fight for the opportunity
JacksonA125Yesterday was a blower pow day, which we don’t get very often in Tahoe. I was so so stoked, and then, first run off of headwall at Squaw(palisades) I see sunbowl is completely untracked, so we head over there. There’s ice underneath but it wasn’t punishing as long as you were confident, my friends rag dolled like 4 times, and then when we hit the traverse track at the bottom they got stuck and had to walk out, leaving me waiting for 10 minutes, now we’re in really mellow terrain with some cliffs to our left and my homie almost falls off. Pow day ruined, I have to stick to the most mellow terrain and cater to them. My question is how do I find some better homies to shred with? All my homies are so scared of falling they never progress, and I’m not being pushed to try stuff either, and it’s really putting a damper on the season. Anyone else deal with this?
Young_pattyI’d rather lap with your friends than you though lolllllll

HypeBeastAt least your friends attempted it. All I get is "fuck no you're crazy. See you at the bottom" sort of response. But ultimately if you wanna ski steeper more difficult stuff you may have to ski alone.... Or radical idea, your friends progress with you and in a year or so they'll be able to ski it.
JacksonA125I feel like I gotta clear up the fact they snowboard and they’ve been riding 10 years longer than I have been, I’m not trying to be a sick or look down on anyone, It’s just hard to match pace with boarders. I need ski homies haha
