mitchellpasterI'm looking to get new skis and moving out west next year and will probably be skiing 60% park and 40% all mountain, I want the bdogs but am not sure if they will do the job all-mountain as the arv 96 would. thoughts?
BradFiAusNzCoCaWhere are you moving out west? Different snowpack in Rockies than western ranges like Sierras and cascades
mitchellpasterim moving out to either Utah or Oregon for school next year
mitchellpasterOkay, any other suggestions? I was looking at reckoner 102s but heard they wont hold up very well in the park

BradFiAusNzCoCaYeah they’re prone to sidewall issues from rail abuse what I’ve heard. I guess I’ll plug a few.
Fauna Omni, comes our next year. 100 underfoot. Medium soft flex with some backbone. Poplar/oak core.
Vishnu key. 95 underfoot with bamboo/poplar core and nice profile.
Völkl Revolt 95. 95 underfoot with nice maple/beech core (iirc) profile for all around the mountain.
Armada ARV96, as mentioned.
ON3P Mag 102. Pure bamboo for nice rebound and a uhmw sidewall for dampening. Heavy rocker so you won’t get bogged down.
Deviation ballistic. 99 underfoot with PHD core (Purple Heart sidewall with poplar and ash core). Strong ski for Oregon, along with ON3P.
Just a few off the top of my head. Keep in mind this is from my point of view. Others may different based on their preferences. Most of these can be found for under $600 or so. As for the expensive ones - ON3P you can wait for blems to drop. Deviation just write and ask if they have any blems laying around. I’ve done that before and they even had a comment once on here saying to do that.

Icant_kfedDeviations look insane, but 750 is a lot, are they worth it?

mrk127I just got my first pair of deviation's and I've demoed them a couple different types and holy shit the construction on them is beautiful. The wooden sidewalls look so quality. Can't speak to the long term durability
