animatorCT 3 is the better ski IMO. If you search it up on YouTube there’s a video showing the layup of the MFree and it’s like 65% PU. Like the core has a strip of wood in it and the rest of PU it’s so stupid. I hate that ski but maybe I’m just stupid, but there’s barely any wood in the thing. CT is the better of the two it’s lighter it’s more stable and it has more energy.
That being said, also peep a Moment Wildcat 108 or ON3P Jeff 110. I know that everyone recommends these but that’s because they truly are some of the best skis going. Both are super fun but also very stable for blasting through chop and crud
SubstituteI was dubious of the PU... and then I bought a pair of the 108's. It's the best ~108 ski I've ever been on, and I've skied quite a few pairs of skis.
Op, Dynastar makes some seriously great skis, you can't go wrong with a pair. The 108 is heavy, but it does not feel cumbersome. It's incredibly easy to swing around, it has a very loose, pivot happy shape. When things get chopped up, that ski just wants to blast through, bounce, carve, whatever you want it to do. That PU in the layup makes for one of the smoothest rides.
I skied around 16" of good VT powder on them a week or so ago. As the mountain got skied up, I kept having more and more fun, it's uncanny how great that ski is.
Obviously I can't say enough for the M-Free 108.
anders_aown both, prefer CT 3.0
Greg_KThe MFree 108 is more tapered and has larger tip/tail splay vs the CT 3.0, so it’s more surfy in soft snow especially on the shorter lengths. The CT 3.0 is a more precise carver that’s very stable but doesn’t require a lot of speed to be fun.
The heavier 21 CT 3.0 would be more similar in weight and feel vs the MFree 108 vs the new lighter builds in 22. The 22 CT 3.0 won’t be a damp but will still rip.
I prefer the heavier 21 CT builds but they are getting difficult to find now.
What’s your size and current ski lengths?
