Tail edge crack and delam

Not really sure how this happened but I tried epoxying it twice and it didn’t work. Should I keep trying to epoxy it or what else should I do I’m open to suggestions. I could ski them as is but I don’t want to damage them any more .

It’s cuz they’re line, all jokes aside try cutting out the broken edge and use rivets when you epoxy

Do this just don't use rivets. Cut the edge out, file it down so it does not catch on anything, epoxy the ever living fuck out of it, clamp the every living fuck out of it then wait 24-48 hours. Sand any excess epoxy and pray.

Out of curiosity why no rivet

Adds another point of failure. They can definitely be used but I would only use them as a worst case scenario.

The edge isn’t really catching on anything do I need to cut it out? Or should I just try to epoxy them back in. And if I do have to cut it out how would I go about that

Use a spiked T nut or two. I hit a rock and delammed my tip pretty bad. Fixed it with a spiked t nut and two part epoxy still going strong. Just drill a hole and use a vice/pliers to jam the spikes into the ski, lather with epoxy, then thread the bolt in. Leave for the recommended cure time with vices/clamps on but not so tight that they squeeze the epoxy out. Then just file it all smooth and you're good to go. I've never had luck fixing delams with just epoxy.

exact same thing happened to my chronics on the tail,
its not an edge crack, the skis come with the edge wrapping around the whole ski but theres a seam in the back that is a major weak spot and stupid design flaw by line. (or cheaper manufactering & shitty quality control)

What type of epoxy did you try?

Get some West Systems G Flex Epoxy and let it cure in a warm spot for a good long time. Make sure it's nice and dry and relatively clean before application. Make sure to clamp it nice and tight as well, use blocks or something to distribute the force over as large an area as you can.

I just ordered some stuff that was recommended for ski repair called jb weld cold steel. I’m gonna try again with that and probably throw a rivet on there

I reccomend warrantying them... you wont get new skis (line is out of chronics apparently) but youll probably get store credit for wherever you ordered them from.
If you have your heart set on fixing them, clip the edge off a bit before where its pulling out of the ski, epoxy and clamp. wont last forever though and may doom any hopes of warranty
