Skateboard on a flight

Could I bring my complete on carry on? Or does it have to be in parts?

you can bring your whole board on, just strap it to your backpack/carryon.

I've heard of having to take the trucks off but I've only had a board in checked bags so idk.

I took a complete on and put it in the overhead storage but once they took it at the front and put it somewhere then gave it back when we landed

though i did get pulled aside at security for having a skate tool but they let me keep it

Imma thinking they'll have you put it down below ( for free, not as paid checked bag) after they decide it doesn't fit, similar to above experience

Wouldn't hurt to wrap it up in plastic wrap if that works for the backpack, then when/if they drop it down below...

Most airlines let you carry it on without problem. You can stash it in the overhead easy enough plus it gives you something to ride between gates. Just dont try to slide or grind anything in the terminal and you should be fine.

They only let you bring it on if you can show the flight attendants you can tre-flip




jk jus strap it to a backpack and you should be fine.

Some airports care more than others in terms of riding from security to gate. PDX security freaked out and threatened to take my friends board. Boston Logan doesn't give a shit. Denver was chill but I've only done it there once.

Anyone else find it wild you can bring a skateboard or a tennis racket but nail clippers have to go in checked luggage? You could fuck someone up with either of those. Break a tennis racket and now you have handheld spears

or shampoo larger than 300ml? that will cause some serious damage if it gets in somebodies eyes

Did you also know hand sanitizer and lighters are allowed on carry on as well? Glad we have some real geniuses working admin in tsa.
