.frenchyshaun white has been in the olympics for the past 16 years and has proven himself as one of the top snowboarders in the world the entire time. Gu is 18 years old and not even competing for America, if she likes china so much then go to college there/live there/etc.

GrandThingsYeah its pretty fucking wack and if I was someone like Maggie or one of the other US girls (we'll see if the trend continues in halfpipe) I'd be pretty pissed. I get that she's still a US citizen, but Eileen chose to ride for China, and she gets the same US media treatment like an Elena Meyers-Taylor or Chloe Kim. I get that NBC wants to focus on the heavy-hitters of each comp, but its not like we're getting sit-downs with the Norwegian nordic skiers or German bobsledders.
