Valentine’s Day pain

well no skiing tonight for me since my Monday class schedule sucks, nights off to a bad start already with that.

There’s this girl who’s a tad older than me but still in my age group with a beauty of a personality ( and a face ☺️). Haven’t really hung out with her off the hill (she skis), but we always end up running into eachother once in a while on the hill. This girl is so heavenly every time she pulls up to the park, the jets kick on and I throw the most wicked line of the day, or lace the trick I’m trying to get.


Me and her have been talking more and more as of late, and well, I decided to shoot my shot. It’s V-Day after all, and I figured she’d appreciate some lovely company on this (previously) fine Monday evening.


I say it.


“Zootspace and chill at my place later?? 😉”

I put my phone down and my 4pm
class starts. My mind is racing. Didn’t look at my phone all class, was too scared to see the result. Pencil was sweaty from my shaky hands. Had to keep taking deep breaths.

fast forward. Class is over, I’m bullshitting with my buddies as I walk to the parking lot, and open my phone. the moment of truth. This is the text I get…

“Ummm idk what a zootspace is but no. I have other plans tonight with someone else. That guy you told me not to worry about, you said his name was catdickbojangles or something on your silly little park rat website.”


im in shock. No reaction. Didn’t know what to do. Some real pain sets in. I start to feel real sick.

I disgustedly put the car into drive, flew out of the parking lot and got on the highway. And as I drove into the saddening Valentine’s Day sunset, feeling the lump in my throat and fighting the tears off, violated by this girl, the pain is throbbing in my head. I play this song to fit the mood

spent my Vday skiing with my girl at snowbird until she destroyed her tyrollia 11s. She picked up some pivot 12s with me at gear room slc. stoked shes got a better binding under her feet!

I had a different type of Valentine pains. I spent Vday with the bois and broke my ribs doing a 5 on a moderately small jump. I suck at cooking but i still hobbled around making scallops and crab legs and lots of butter for my wife and instead of staying up late with my friend (whos crashing Colorado couches this month to work remotely and shred) i went to bed with my wife and despite the pain, still managed the bi-monthly sex.
