Freestyle ski recommendations

ive been thinking about getting a pair of skis more geared towards freestyle. both my blades and mindbenders are pretty heavy and as much as i like ripping groomers on them, i kinda wanna expand on the types of skis i have since both pairs i have right now are pretty directional. i wanted to ask for some recommendations for a ski that’s more playful than what i’ve got, but can still hold its edge relatively well.

i was thinking about just getting honey badgers cause of how cheap they are, and multiple people saying they’re relatively durable, but i’m not sure they’re as freestyle as i’d like, maybe a bit too park oriented, but i could be totally wrong on that. would anyone be able to vouch for volkl revolt 95s and/or 104s, or maybe armada arv 96s? i’ve heard good things about on3p’s too, so i’ve been considering jeffrey 96s or 102s, but they’re a bit pricey. are they worth the extra $200 or $300 in terms of durability and what i’ll get out of them?

Go for the reckoner 102. Soft in the tips and tails but it stiffens up underfoot so they're fairly stable. Super fun ski imo.

Don’t get volkls, arv 96 is good, faction 3.0 is better, but not durable at all. Line sir Francis bacon is epic tho. You should get thoes

Just whatever you do please do not buy line skis.

I like the weight of the Surface give'r and have used it to land a triple swap

How the hell can you talk bad about faction in terms of durability (they aren't anymore) then recommend lines lmao. My factions are outlasting all my friends freestyle skis (line, k2, rossi) and I ski more often than them.

Volkl revolt 104 can serve as a one ski quiver, fat enough to ski some pow, slim enough to have fun on the hard days. The only problem - they don't like to be driven from forward stance. At least in my case, I'm 178cm/65kg and 180 is small for pow - I experience tip dive whenever I want to charge them as my other 10X directional skis, and 188 - a lot of heel on the hard days. Something in the middle would be perfect for my size. But in this particular case, I downsized and was happy. for a pow day I will bring my 120 waist ski.

With revolt 95 and armada 96 you won't have such versatility, It's definitely a more all-mountain with a hard snow focus. they can be skied in soft, but the deeper it gets - the more work you should do to float)

Ive had 3 friends this year that got factions either brand new this year or brand new last year and have all had edge issues, but i had sfbs that lasted me 2 years and are still fine but just to small so maybe its just a coincidence, but the sfbs are built different its just that simple epic ski that i highly recommend
