Need a Crested Butte locals help

Ski the main runs off the t-bars, stop below things and look up. Figure out how to get there, then don't go there. Coverage is good but conditions are fucked. Boilerplate/ hardpack chalk everywhere, a fall over exposure will kill you right now.
Patrol had to do 5 high angle rope rescues yesterday alone, and one person probably died from a slide for life.
Not the time to go exploring right now until we get another big snow.

Fair enough. I see some snow in the forecast for next week so fingers crossed I guess.

Don't get me wrong, there is some amazing skiing right now too, anything that has room to slough is creating some hero chalk and slough aprons, but hunting out gnarly shit is a bad idea right now

OP this is a great time to catch an invisible rock or tree poking through a takeoff lip and buck yourself. the chalk is all time but the downside is exposed takeoffs and landings in most places

Yep, conditions are typical of basically all of western North America at the moment (firm and fast, slide for life), so I might wait for some snow (which looks to be coming next week) before getting into anything really gnarly.

But Fredo's, High Life, Edge, Slot, Sock-It-To-Me, Third Bowl, Dead Bag, Body Bag, and Dead Bob's is where you'd go if you wanted to scare yourself, but definitely don't go alone. Like, a fall would result in getting really hurt in a lot of those places. And for legal reasons you did not get these recommendations from me ;)
