Should xgames have a rail jam?

Would be sick to have some higher level contests with a rail jam whether a plaza vibe or a couple sets of rails.

Dew tour has had one some years.

Idk would be cool to see people try their hardest rail tricks without having to be in a slope run. Rail tricks in slope have gotten pretty legit, but would be fun to see a rail jam.

Holy shit! I was about to make a thread about this, no joke.

Rail James should be in XGames for sure. Everyone seems to play it safe in the rail section in slopestyle. I want to see people get super technical on the rails in an XGames / big comp setting. Also, Slopestyle seems to favor the top tier jump skiers over the top tier rails skiers. If the best rail skier in the world can’t huck a triple cork, they have no chance in Slopestyle.

I think it would be a pretty sick idea.

Seeing how popular the knuckle huck event is, why not do something similar for a rail jam?

Big jam, big rails, give us them old school comp vibes

YES IVE BEEN FUCKING SAYING THIS

Slopestyle rn is "hit 3 rails, then do big air x3". We already have big air and halfpipe and knuckle huck, we don't need more airs and flips. Rail jam would be mad hype

How about combining knuckle huck and rail jam. Like a couple sets of rails and then a knuckle. There could also be a cannon rail on the knuckle. Would have to be a big as knuckle just for a rail jam though…

Nah this kinda stupid, it defeates the purpose of a rail jam.

Totally agree that this needs to happen! I know Winter X-Games used to do a street-style jam for snowboarders, not sure if skiers ever got the chance to compete in one of these but was one of my favorite events to watch and 100% needs to come back.

Absolutely, and I have to imagine the logistics/labor required to build a rail jam setup would be pretty small compared to a slopestyle course. They could even just recycle a feature or two, like they do for big air and knuckle huck.
