Help I can’t unscrew my bindings

Some of the screws are super tight and I can’t get them out without stripping the screws

would wd 40 dissolve the glue that’s holding them??? But would it wreck the core??? Idk any help would be appreciated

jokes, who mounted them? Did that person use epoxy? Are you using the correct screwdriver/drill bit (I.e. a number 3 Pozi)? What ski is it, some cores hold screws tighter than others, especially those with metal.

My bro who is tech at L9 orem did
he used just like white glue I believe

Im using just the screwdriver I have that fits the best
some of the screws came out but some of them won’t turn without stripping
ON3P magnus 102s I don’t think there is any metal in them

Get a proper bit and apply heat to the screw head with a soldering iron.

Don’t use a Philips head, they will strip the screws immediately. Go to a shop and ask them to remove the bindings, or order a #3 Pozi online. I’ve stripped countless screws before I realized that it’s because the Philips doesn’t fly (also a tech so I learned the hard way). No metal but bamboo is pretty rigid. It sounds like a good mount (obviously screws should be set and not come out easily) but your issue is probably the screwdriver. Pozi is designed so that you can’t overtorque the screws and strip them and using a Philips essentially renders that design moot which is why a lot of the times the screws will strip

Then don't fuck with them unless you want to round off the screw heads. Get the proper tools or take em to a shop. Or, hit it with your purse as hard as you can.

Find a pozi drive bit that you can fit on a socket wrench. It's absurd how much easier it is. Like something I'd have to put all my weight into with a screwdriver can be cracked loose with little effort. Putting a rubber band or piece of paper between the bit and the screw can help.

here in canada we have robertson style screws and bits (square)

from my experience a #2 roby has been better than any philips in terms of not stripping the screw.

but what biff barf said is def the best advice.

if its too late and you already fucked the head of the screw, you can pick up a screw extraction kit. you drill a little pilot into the screw head, then you have a reverse flute end mill that digs into the screw while your drill is in reverse. works ~>50% of the time.






if that fails try to get vice grips on the side of the head and crack em loose (heat helps here too)

if all of that fails, you can use a dremel tool with a cut off disc to make a little slot on the screw head where you can get a flat head into it.
