brownetownjust skied my first proper 0-vis storm day in Switzerland and I was truly in the ping pong ball. Reality hit fast when I realized I couldn't just find trees to ski between like back in the pnw, definitely caught some accidental air off rollers haha

je_t.aime_canardzero vis is pretty intense in the alps, sometimes it's genuinely impossible to see the piste markers. i occasionally rawdog the slopes without goggles on just to see some semblance of texture and terrain change, because otherwise i'm going completely blind
Lenny-I'll never really understand why snowboarders love boxes so much.
GayWolf420Also shout out to you Hyland Hills folk cuz the live towrope cam at work is a huge hit. We love watching the carnage
Brule.I fucking hate the December PSIA week at Killington with a burning passion.
It’s like I’m living in that one South Park episode where they make fun of Prius drivers that smell their own farts and move to San Francisco.
SteezyYeeteri lost my arsenic beanie im so FUCKING PISSED
PartyBullshiitLess than a month till my CO trip. Cant fucking wait to be on snow again
SteezyYeeterwhatever jacket 74jordy was wearing in his latest post was kinda cool. but isn't it dope snow?
Rock_Inhabitant74jordy is skiing brainrot. No style, no personality, no real projects, just 15 second instagram clips of him hucking meat off a jump. He’s just another forgettable insta skier tbh

Rock_InhabitantWhere ya skiing?
GayWolf420I just don't like the severe God Complex or Very Important Syndrome some of them have at work. Mostly supervisors and managers. They think they can get away with ducking ropes and skiing closed terrain because they're the favorite department. Other than that, they some seem pretty chill or are just learning how to ski so I cant hate. I have a homie at work who teaches that's in his 70s and coached racing at Winter Park back in the day, smokes crazy amounts of weed, and is a funny ass dude

SlowbroGet a tech trick
I’m usually too concerned with survival at street spots to try anything too hard
Dlonettihaha we starting with a pretty chill rail line spot with 3 short rails down a hill
SlowbroLine is cool, natural speed?
Dlonettiyeah the third rail is hidden by the tree
Brule.This!
When I used to teach, I gravitated towards hanging out with other instructors that didn’t have that kind of god complex and would actively ask them to hot lap with me when we didn’t have lessons. The more I think about it, the more I realize that I hung out with way more snowboard instructors than ski instructors.
At the hill I used to work at, the snow sports instructors would ride from the top of the gondola down to the bottom in a torchlight parade before a huge fireworks ceremony, which my supervisor at the time made a big deal about not drinking before the event. The older instructors still brought flasks and shooters, but I rode up with the snowboard instructors and we absolutely reeked of weed in response.
