muffMan.They are awesome pants, but not really the best ski pant imo, don’t think Dan really sold it like that.
Really solid winter pant though, wore them basically all the time on cold days, but they do get hot.
anytides just dropped some new pants that look sick, the mick, if you wanted ski pants id check them out. think big strides are all sold out atm.
steez_apprenticenew ones coming out soon but not really a fan of the color, i just want obsidian/onyx to drop again
dognutzyou just got a year to wait lol
nmwninjartYes they are. They will keep you toasty warm and dry. I seriously only wear them in the dead of winter because they're too hot to wear on those warmer spring / fall days.
Fit wise they're like a regular pair of pants - not baggy. Good for going out in public before or after skiing. They're definitely made for a more male body shape. Tall and thin lower body.

partyandBSlike 2 weeks ago there was a video that dropped with siver in it. what was that called??
steez_apprenticewhatever the new suede movie is it's that one
mjkuby12Ended up catching a lift with a 10 year old skiing by himself in the park. Long story short, we became homies and I helped him learn his first 270 out off a tube. It made my whole week. Take the time to help someone when you can!
Christian_Balethe fact that I love carney's skiing so much makes the dogshit editing even more painful. why would u cut some many clips short and splice other clips together in weird ways instead of showing the whole trick? like god damn I swear some of these people don't even watch ski videos they'd be better off just making commercials

GayWolf420With Vail Resorts reporting huge losses in the last quarter and pass sales being dramatically down, id be curious to know how the rest of the industry is doing. It seems across the board things aren't looking good despite how good marketing departments are making it all out to be on social media when you have union contracts being negotiated and labor budgets being cut in favor of not wanting to pay overtime.
At least at the Indy resort I work at, it doesn't seem like they're hitting the targets they had drawn up in their heads.

partyandBSwell in general the elections bring economic uncertainty. it was a terrible time to get a job pre-election which made for favorable hiring at resorts. but auxiliary spending on luxuries like skiing and season passes are likely a reflection of scared consumers. i bet it would be more beneficial during presidential election years to run pass sales a few weeks longer.
also, pretty sure most every ski resort posted losses last quarter every year lol. summer ends and theres a pretty big spend to flip and open for skiing but no skiing hits that quarter (august 1 - oct 31) so its anticipated every year that timeframe is a loss while nov-jan out performs the rest of the year by a landslide.

VTshredder69295$ for a friggin one day lift ticket to vail.
Anyone know where the CEO will be in the near future? might have to go Luigi on his ass.
(It's a joke FBI chill)
armchair_skierI think towneys, low life’s, and simpletons are hanging up the skis, selling the mountain bikes and going back to day drinking and sports watching with the occasional beach trip
PartyBullshiitWhat dates are you going? I have buddy passes/ski with friends if we’re in town the same time.
crimeenthusiastnoaa says 1 inch tonight. i am betting at least 2 inches, doubling our December snow total.

BradFiAusNzCoCaPretty much everyone I know is buying an ikon pass so I am not surprised
jimbobsI strongly believe that a lot of covid mountain bikers got skilled/fast enough around 22-23 to start crashing hard, injured themselves, and got scared off the sport. Combine that with widespread economic downturn, and selling the multi-thousand dollar bicycle starts to look like a no brainer.
steez_apprenticehiked a big tube with like 5 10 year olds at my local once and i could see how inspired they were it really was a good time
partyandBSpark rats buy ikon 🐀

treebeardIt's cool to be at that point where I'm not trying to learn any new tricks, just trying to spread the stoke, hyping the kids up to try their first rail. You got it buddy, wide stance and lean forward!
There's such a mental/social barrier for kids trying out the park for their first time, don't wanna get hurt but also don't wanna look like a doof. I was more concerned with the latter when I first started, but anytime one of the older park rats gave me any kind of props it really helped my confidence. As an oldhead now it's fun to recognize the impact we can have on the kids (I'm still way intimidated by teenagers lol)
GayWolf420Also shout out to you Hyland Hills folk cuz the live towrope cam at work is a huge hit. We love watching the carnage
GayWolf420Brand new park build at work actually fucks hard. Patrol stamp of approval.
powpatrolhow much does NS think the capeesh bombshell no.1 brand new size medium would be in CAD?

partyandBSsend pics. is it open at night??
K-Dot.It’s interesting that you never see heel pieces and toe pieces from different binding brands on the same ski. The stack heights are pretty similar on some of the bindings, there’s no logical reason why one couldn’t do it and have it work well, unless I’m missing something. I’m curious what an attack toe piece paired with a pivot heel would look and ski like
BradFiAusNzCoCaBecause they all tell you not to and people get skiddish??

GayWolf420I'm a big fan of skiing around when on the clock and helping groms put their skis on or just have a random conversation with a kid on the lift. Idk you never know sometimes if you make a difference in some kids life and get them hooked on skiing forever. I'm a big fan of local schools here being allowed to ski for free at our resort on Fridays or local schools bringing their classes to ski.
You never know, man. I was in the same boat as a kid when I was little. I had an instructor when I was like 5-6 take me through the park at my home hill in MI and it kinda just blew the door wide open. Fuck playing ball sports when I can play on my skis.
oldmanskiWell done to you all. Super cool to hear this as doing such small things like this will inspire the future to keep the stoke alive. Proud of the NS fam.
ThegenericskierDrew leaves the park??? (I almost did not ski because it snowed)
