Pretty interesting how effective visualization is for learning tricks. I feel like it also can be negative if you imagine fucking up but still often useful.
It’s not absolutely critical for every glove but if you have kinco style gloves (I have cloudveil butters so I do), then wax helps a lot. My wife’s gloves, Oyuki, don’t seem to need it as much. My former Burton leather palms, also, did not seem to really need wax.
Rock_InhabitantDoes glove wax help with keeping them clean and making them last longer? If so what are some good glove waxes? I saw a little tin of hestra glove wax at the ski shop and want to know if I should buy that or get something else

Yeah I got these outdoor research gloves that are almost fully leather, they are pretty dry but I can tell the leather soaks up a lot of water when it gets wet. I’m just trying to get them to last a little longer cause I love em

this is really. here’s why: when you visualize something, part of your brain cannot tell the difference between that and a memory that actually happened. so when you visualize something in great detail in your mind, your brain will tap into that when you go to do it. so the more indepth you can visualize the way your entire body feels when doing a trick correctly, the more likely you are to execute it in that manner.
this is a technique called future memory making and its definitely impactful for things beyond tricks too. i will envision and meditate on tough conversations, interviews, awkward situations, etc. and how my ideal self would think, feel, and act in those situations. def the most impactful therapy tool ive ever had. thanks dr joe dispenza lol. hes got a bunch on spotify to listen to if you so fancy

I use mink oil, it makes the leather nice and soft but also waterproof

Today a child heckled me today for riding poleless, a geriatric ski instructor randomly flexed on me about being more of a local than me, and a bunch of other shenanigans not worth mentioning went on. Overall I would say it was a great opening day for Aspen.
Took the mogul skis out for the first time on day 1 of the season. I definitely was not ready for them. They ski long for only being 175cm (GS ski long with no rocker), but it forced me to focus. I’m excited to get more days on them and try some moguls when they form.

I felt spontaneous tonight and so I went out and bought some Revolt 121s (I blame Black Friday). I want to put some attacks on them. I have some extra 110 brakes. 110 tyrolia attack2s on a 121 waist is probably a tad ambitious. Anyone got any info?

Lol, not going to work. Used 130 brakes on my 120's and they were perfect.
