WHAT THE FUCK 1 METER STORM COMING 1 WEEK AFTER RESORTS CLOSE DUE TO SNOW MELTING RAPIDLY. This year sucked so much for snow and now we are gonna get as much snow as we got during the season in one storm 1 week after the resorts close. You are actually joking. Fuck the sahara wind shit, fuck this

Took my worst slam in a couple years today. I took a chute at Alta with some speed and lost it in the runout
Smashed my sunglasses and cut open my eyebrow. My ribs hurt a lot, but I don't think anything's broken. I might be slightly concussed which isn't great news for the closing day party tomorrow. Feels bad to get hurt and go home right as the snow was starting to soften up

late 90s/early 2000's punk cover bands in the lot at Mary Jane today. What an incredible "closing day". Shit was a madhouse, yall are crazy here in CO. Met random people and there were good vibes. Skiing fucking rules.

Next season is the first time I'll be on a full adult price Alta pass. It's $1400 and I'm broke as fuck rn. I'm gonna graduate with a CS degree in the fall and trying to work full time next season. $1400 is a lot of money to only be able to ski overcrowded weekends.
Been feeling kinda burnt out on being broke and stunting my career just so I can ski weekdays. The growing desire to finally "grow up" and the hustle and bustle of LCC has lost a lot of the charm Alta use to have on me.
I've been entertaining the idea of taking a break from skiing but honestly, it's a little scary to step away from something that has been my focus for the last 10 years. Does anyone have any advice or words of wisdom on taking a break from skiing?

I built them up so much and they were always so intimidating in my mind, but theyre not that bad. now front 3 swap is a different story. can do em unnat but never done one nat and the rotation kinda spooks me

For me, it’s way easier to get catastrophically tangled up/tip catch on the rail during rotation on a front 3 swap vs back 3 swap

Dude yeah. These dudes were crushing the Bad Religion tunes, like sounded almost better than the albums which is rare for cover bands. Anyone know if WP will have a little park setup for the remainder of the season? Corn and bynps aren't bad either

Next season will mark 11 years working at a ski resort for me but I kind-of really miss just working some non-ski related job and being able to go fuck around on your days off stress-free without having to be in boots 7 days/week. But you're also broke as shit and it's your only way to be able to ski because of free ticket abilities by not having to drop $1200 on a piece of plastic.
