SchizoSkierDo y’all think on3p would replace one singular ski. It’s completely fucked and the base is coming out cuz of the edge and I’ve only ridden them 15 ish days.

ReturnToMonkeyHit em up they might be able to find a replacement. They did that for me
SchizoSkierThat’s what I was thinking. On3p is a baller ass company with good customer service I think I might have just had a bad ski. The other ski is completely mint.
PacificRimJobHere's a segment from 1999 featuring Robb Gaffney (RIP, you legend). The mountain would close a couple years later but this was the general vibe of the spot... Big sick cliff drops... a rad spring park with decent jumps... a solid crew of guys who could absolutely shred, and ski patrollers who weren't afraid to show you up when they werent busy keeping the spot safe. Things were different 20-something years ago, man... Skiing was really soulful back then. Places were run by families and locals, and it was a totally different experience.
Now its more often a clout contest instead of just enjoying the sport itself - who can show off that theyre staying in the best hotel, drive the coolest subaru to the parking lot, have the fanciest ski gear, find the best pow, take the best gopro shot etc... back then, skiing was more often than not, the most important part of that laundry list. There was not as much distraction.

SchizoSkierMiss park skiing hella, I was progressing a lot this season too. Both way 4 offs and both way combos and started flipping again and spinning big copper jumps. I haven’t skied park since spring break at copper. However I’ve been doing a ton of backcountry and side country skiing here with my silverton pass in the San Juan’s which is also really cool but park skiing is just too fun especially as the snow gets slushy and the sun comes out. Abay party and mini park laps with @Farmville420 this summer will be unmatched tho.
BallClapperLooking for some new durable, pnw proof outerwear. Love the flylow stuff but want to try something from other brands. Looking at the Strafe Nomad jacket and bib set. Anyone have experience with that? Gotta be pnw proof. Wet snow, rain, freezing rain, -20 and the lightest fluffy pow ever and everything else. AND needs to be able to take a beating, hitting rocks, trees, jerrys etc. Flylow is the most durable and tough option I have tried yet. Unique colors and lots of them is a plus, bright and obnoxious is even better. 1234
midwestcoastI had a Strafe kit (can't remember model) about 8ish years ago, while they were still new on the scene. I liked it fine, but wasn't top-tier in regards to durability. Handed it down to my younger brother after about a season and a half. Water proofing was starting to fail and was simply beginning to show its use.
I hate to be this guy, but the most durable kits I've owned yet are TNF Brigandine (before they switched to their proprietary "future light" fabric) and Arc'teryx Sabre LT. Still rock both kits today and they literally both look almost-new after hundreds of days in every condition imaginable primarily in Central Rockies, Tahoe, and Whistler. I swear by GoreTex, and I haven't been let down yet.
The other thing I like about the couple kits I mentioned is the fit is perfect for a normal athletic build. Loose enough for any layer combination I need, baggy enough to fit in when I'm lapping park, but with a clean enough look to still ski with corporate clients or my family. Quiver killers. I even use my Sabre as my primary backcountry shell due to the packability...
Both kits were definitely on the pricier side, but the durability is by far better than all the other mid-tier stuff I've ever bought growing up, so I'd consider them to be better values in the long run... Anything I buy now, I ask myself, "will I still like this in 4 or 5 years?"
Wow this reply was way longer than I planned. Sorry
SlowbroI only need 2 or 3 more shots to reach my goal of 2 minutes for the year.
I hope there are some features that don't scare the shit out of me at PBR sessions lol
Farmville420Frisco is dope af and if ur at copper hmu I'll be around that weekend
SteezyYeeter30 to 50 fucking inches is a crazy prediction
it might just be crazy enough to work
CeleryThey had some chill ones last year, I think they try and make it approachable for anyone.
timdrachanWhere about is that? I got Ikon base and heavily debating getting a hotel tmr night for sugarbush.
would be a 7hr road trip for 2 half days of skiing but for that much powder i would be down.
SteezyYeeteryeah that's the mad river valley estimate from josh fox, who is pretty reliable. although where i am now, an hour and a half southeast, the storm has been kind of faltering so idk if it will deliver.
however, you will not be able to find any room unless you know someone you can crash with. the entire state is completely booked for the retarded eclipse on Monday. sugarbush has also closed all of its terrain except for valley house and super bravo, so unless you have skins, the crowds will be insane because of the eclipse and new snow, with the crowds being funneled into two lifts. it's also pride weekend, im not tryna ski with some drag thing. all of these factors make it so that every bot that has ever owned an ikon pass will be at sugarbush this weekend, unfortunately you probably can't/shouldn't go.
hoping that the storm delivers because the crowds are going to be insane either way, might as well make the lift lines worth it.
tldr probably more crowded than it's every been with 1/4 the terrain and don't bend over!
SchizoSkierI am so hyped for silverton tmr unguided season is the best. Buying a season pass was the best purchase of my life
Dlonettibig air event at wild mtn in MN this weekend and I am not much of a jump skier. front flipped once this season and did some upright 7s i guess, might as well do those and my first backflip of the year. maybe I can randomly learn how to cork or something
Farmville420Steamboat terrain parks are so fuckin good, criminally underrated as a park destination
DlonettiWe'll see how the backflips feel, I usually only do those once a year lol. If i feel comfy flat 3 seems like it would be doable
edit- oops forgot quote @Slowbro

ReturnToMonkeyI probably got into park at Howelson Hill because their park was right next to the slalom course, and I was bored waiting to watch my brother race. Later that weekend, I did my first 360 at Steamboat resort. I want to go back so badly now that it's been probably 9 years?
BallClapperi gotta have an absolutely insane sponsorship deal with Arc’teryx to even consider it. Same with tnf. Tnf pro deals are pretty gas though…
SteezyYeeterbuilt a little jump in my front yard. hella peaceful with all the snow.
BigPurpleSkiSuitOpened up the mega moto on blackjack at Snowbird today. First hit was money, its a big hit but I'm honestly not scared of the air anymore, just the takeoff into it, and then 2nd hit my friend followed me on it for his first time hitting it and stomped it too. I was so hyped doe him.
SlushSeasonIs that the big kicky side hit on the right side of the gully?
