sunsetconoisseurmy life would become perfect if I could only have a pair of these new @Jems skis
jimbobsBeen sifting thru the jetskis yt channel, trying to track down the song they used for 'Midwest 2023'. It's definitely sampling beautiful girls, but shazam didn't bring anything up. Custom track for the vid maybe? Wanna hear the whole thing, super interesting vibe.

GayWolf420I think what bothers me the most about all the crowding occurring in places like the Cottonwood Canyons is the sheer recklessness and disregard for safety and others safety. I'm seeing content of Mt. Superior that slid this morning pretty big and instead of conducting beacon searches for potential victims, dudes are just walking up the debris path to go ski some terrain that literally just slid or people coming down on terrain attached to it. Maybe I'm over thinking but wouldn't that be enough for you to just go back to the truck, grab your pass, and take some lift laps in bounds or just call it a day?
SlushSeasonThe fetishization of risk is real here. One of my friends consistently talks about wanting to "ski something sketchy" in the backcountry. I really don't get it.
There's plenty of steep terrain in bounds that I'll ski with my comfy downhill boots and bindings. But the backcountry is for skiing low-mid angle powder and not taking unnecessary risks. Honestly I blame The Chuting Gallery for a lot of this attitude in the Wasatch
Farmville420Is Bend Oregon a nice place to live?
BradFiAusNzCoCaBuddy you are late to this one
Farmville420I was just wondering, looks too good to be true, 25 mins from bach??? And it looks like a whole city
GayWolf420I did research and found out that Brighton technically was established before Alta was. Brighton opened in 1936 and Alta opened in 1938. Alta however was a miners town way back when in the late 1800's and was training grounds for the 10th Mountain Division. Monty Atwater pioneered the idea of shooting artillery into the sides of mountains. Crazy cool shit.
Tl:dr What other ski areas have a ton of history?

Voyage86If the website doesn’t include a simple yet vital detail like a picture of the rocker profile, or the turn radius, or the weight or the mount point, the company is a joke. I don’t care which brands this falls under either. It’s like they don’t want my money. pisses me off so hard that I need to go do outside research to find fundamental information about a ski.

profa_212Turn Radius: Medium
Uhh thanks I'll go fuck myself then.
Rock_InhabitantNot an answer but a question: what happened to Berthoud ski resort? It’s was around since 1936 but closed down 2002. What did this place look like while it was around?

GayWolf420What's up with the Lange Shadow 130 price drops? It seems like a good boot. Why are they phasing-out the XT3's?

Rock_Inhabitanthow do I find friends that rip as hard as me. All my friends are lazy af and I gotta convince them to come up with me, and then they just complain about the conditions and refuse to try anything new. Problem is I'm young af and I can't find anyone my age that can even slide a rail
ThegenericskierIm so genuine about disliking days where it snows. Woke up to no snow thinking it'd be a great jump day get to big sky and bam its nuking which is cool i guess but i just want to ski jumps :( please just snow on any day but thursday and sunday

ThegenericskierReally really, was able to barely get speed for jump one so all was not lost :) though I would’ve loved to have reliable speed for jump 2 as I have an agenda to complete

BigPurpleSkiSuitI always forget how fucking good people like you are at skiing on here. Hell yeah man!
officechairHonestly warms my heart when I see lessons for sit skiers, blind skiers, muscular neurological conditions, etc. Skiing is already hard enough and to get out there with a disability earns mad respect. Saw a kid at Beaver once with a walker-like frame skiing and they were having so much fun. I was like damn I need to appreciate skiing more even on bad days.
