It’s been 48 hours since I was last demo-ing new skis and boots for next winter, and I’m still trying to mentally unpack everything I’ve tried out. Found a lot of mind-blowing shit that feels way better on snow than it looks on paper, so this is my warning to you all to prepare your anuses for next year’s ski and boot drops when they release.
timdrachanim there for 2 or 3 days from feb 4th to 9th, any day cuz i got the ikon pass. Im not too familiar with the terrain so it would be sick to meet up
Hows the snow coverage out there?
Jumping into this for the sunshine beta. Will be there the first week of April.

haven't been this season cause conditions have been questionable but I hear coverage is decent now. I can probably come up one day and show you around. Here's hoping there's fresh snow.

fuck yea dude, dm on here or insta we will figure smt out.
Setup looks insane, best they've ever had. Excited for the new rails too cause the old ones were pretty janky sometimes. So hyped to hit some after work rails for the next month
muffMan.booby hill open for the season, let’s get it
Damn, my vail resort is bitching about not enough snow when we have a 67 inch base. Oh, and they say "it's not in the public interest to put in a half-pipe." claiming that the machine is "broken." It might actually be broken but a lot of people I have talked to, park riders and other want a half pipe. And that isn't the only thing messed up. We used to have a top level freeride program akin to wfc but it, and other non vail ski schools operating on the mountian got shut down. Now if you want a good freeride program you need to go to the race team. *End rant*

sadly no incentive for stevens to get the zaugg running as none of the competing WA resorts have QP/HP features either. gotta go to whistler or hope snoqualmie puts one back in and starts taking business away
idk what financial sense shutting down the freeride team makes though. those events are printing money and even vail mtn itself has had a team for like 15 years now

Yeah man I’m stoked, tryna get up this weekend for sure. post work laps as well
This is kinda random but anyone else have that dream where youre lappin the park and hit a jump and all of the sudden your overshooting it by like 200 feet just flying over the park thinking this is it I’m gonna die

who doesn't lol. i don't think gravity has worked in one skiing dream of mine ever.

I can control my flight in my dreams. Sometimes i'll do like a 1890 off a rail

Same I’ll just start spinning and can keep spinning and can fit in whatever size spin I want off a feature. I think it actually helps me get past mental barriers for spinning bigger, I just had a ski dream the other night and finally did a front six properly yesterday and felt the dream skiing helped lol

Yes old ones were jank and could be sticky. Looks like they’re waxing now too. Huge upgrade

Realistically, how hard to you actually have to be skiing to be concerned about breaking a plastic binding? I have this mistrust of plastic bindings for no reason other than I like metal as a concept.

To me it's more about longevity. Most plastic will be affected more by the temperature fluctuations over the seasons than metal, leading to potential failure earlier. Even plastics meant for colder temps will experience more thermal wear than steel
WP employees have this little thing they do where like 30 of them all get hammered and terrorize our resort for night ski lol, shout out to the dude with the giant speaker and LED lights

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too about longevity. Picked up some Strive 14s and all the parts seem stout.
