BigPurpleSkiSuitI wonder how long these take to edit.
same. and how much skiing he's actually doing, can't be a lot. and how stupid his dumb ass looks sticking a gopro in the snow to fill him putting on his skis.
He's not a bad skier, just trying to make money off it, clearly he is developing an audience.

i know he's not a bad skier. i think i've watched almost all of his videos. i just don't understand how all the filming can be fun, i would rather just get some kewl go pro clips and put a compilation of it on newschoolers.com
be patient and make sure to clear your noses before spinning. It's easy to prespin and catch a tip switch spins because your body is already twisted to the side from looking over your shoulder. 180 is easy tho, if you can 3 you will learn switch 1 and 3 no problem

Exactly. Switch ones and threes are much easier because you spot the landing the entire time and never have to flip shoulders

exactly, be patient and wait til you clear the lip to spin, you will have noo problem getting it around at all. pick your knees up as you spin and you'll come around nicely
just relax and stay centered, taking off switch isn't as scary as it feels like it's going to
I've been told about WEST SYSTEMS G/flex epoxy resin. WEST SYSTEMS G/flex 650 is a toughened, versatile, liquid epoxy for permanent waterproof bonding of fiberglass, ceramics, metals, plastics, damp and difficult-to-bond woods. With a modulus of elasticity of 150,000 PSI, it is a bit more flexible than standard epoxies and polyester, but much stiffer than adhesive sealants. This gives it the ability to make structural bonds that can absorb the stress of expansion, contraction, shock, and vibration. It is ideal for bonding dissimilar materials. It can be modified with WEST SYSTEM fillers and additives and used to wet-out fiberglass tapes and fabrics. Mixed at a 1:1 ratio, this 2-part epoxy gives you 46 minutes of pot life at 72°F and an open (working) time of 60-75 minutes. It reaches an initial cure in 3 to 4 hrs and a workable cure in 7-10 hours before I ski for the weekend. It's pretty interesting stuff.

Looks like jetskis is picking up scandi riders, sig is now riding for them and I think Lauri is too? We didn’t get any Lauri clips this year so I’m assuming he is filming for the jetskis movie
muffMan.I hate him as well, I watched a bit of his loveland opening day to see how it looked.
He bitched about not getting a free media pass because he’s a “vlogger”. Dude thinks doing some dumbass video makes him special, I imagine he’s making that day pass back easily as well.
saw him run over a cone in his van at alta yesterday. Also saw him at christie’s at snowbird and he had the sour-est look on his face. My hate for him is immense.
got incredibly lucky today, was ducking some ropes to ski both big sky parks in one run. ducked under the rop to get back on the main swifty run right beside a ski partrol who was talking to a snowboarder impersonating a ski patrol
Got to the mountain with 30 minutes til close and park crew let me hike rails and extra 30 minutes after close. What homies. Got a sw2p2 which is one of the coolest feeling tricks I've done

Sw2s are fun but I prefer continue 2, just feels so smooth
ThegenericskierA red and white cross jacket that had no branding. Dude was getting chewed out as I slid under a rope a few feet from patrol
Huh, after reading through my mountains rules and policies (first time ever) I dont see anything restricting the way I am allowed to dress. So I can assume I could wear that and ski patrol wouldn't be able to say anything about it. I wonder how many mountains actually have that rule in place.
SchizoSkierI’m hoping they have an actual park up before next week when I come home for break. Purg is kinda fun rn but they only have like 6 features up
We've only got 5 setup and we charge close to 3x what purg does. 😮💨

pretty sure there’s state laws about impersonating employment particularly in the medical realm. there are likely rules about wearing competitors uniforms on property as well. i think i heard last year there was some dude wearing an old patrol vest at copper and someone got hurt and there was some dort of search for the guy in the vest after. he tried to administer care or some shit. that supreme jacket is an industry nuisance for sure

I've definitely seen ski instructors wear their uniforms at competitor mountains, which has to be the most ski instructor thing to do.

pretty sure they sleep in their uniforms 😆 when I was at Breck, i wanna say if you had a private lesson client who wanted you to instruct them at like Vail or Beaver Creek then you would do it in uniform since its the same company. if they went and instructed at A Basin or Copper they would need permission to do so and would not be able to wear their home mountain uni.
They are very similar brands to me in that they're both new rider-owned Euro companies with small teams that make unique and instantly recognizable skis. But 1000 seems to be focused on Instagram and Tiktok and the going viral on social media style of marketing, while Simply is producing more creative and artful content that definitely resonates with me more and actually makes me want to try their skis. Just my opinion, but Simply's brand aesthetic has a way cooler vibe to me while 1000 just feels like a cringey social media brand sometimes.
absolutely insane skiing for december 9th. the mid week was even better but i had goofy ahh school. mad river glen is almost fully open, their double is down atm so those trails are hike to but still everything is covered. rain tmrw though :(
no dope snow at mrg but definitely more montec than there should be.
never thought i'd wear my goggles harlaut style but here i am. my face gets too hot wearing goggles and if i put them over my helmet the normal way they tend to slip down easily so putting them on backwards keeps them up. it doesn't look too bad lol.

Hard agree here. What’s funny to me is how similar simply and season are, like they make similar skis that look almost identical, have similar marketing, rider owned, etc
