Office job and kids have relegated me to the night ski life and things haven't lined up yet this season for a few uninterrupted hours of +8" inches, but it looks like this evening might be it! Most of the office is out on spring break, hoping I can duck out early and get after it wish me luck!

was hitting this big cannon rail all morning and getting pretty comfy and spinning out and then after lunch on the first hit i slipped into a straddle and came down hard right on the end. luckily some insane prehistoric instincts i didnt know i had kicked in and i grabbed the rail with my inner thighs tight enough to save my nuts and bounce off into a face plant.

With momentum closing I feel like it’s another reckoning of how old I’m getting. I’m not very liberal and I don’t want this to be political but climate change obviously is affecting skiing and I can remember when it became in into question that summer skiing probably won’t be a thing moving forward and to just drop a big camp like that is a reminder of our age, if anything.

the irony that people cant fly to whistler to put their petroleum based skis and gear to use in the summer so now they start to care about climate change is fuckin rich.

I recall reading an estimate that about half the ski resorts in America will be wiped out by rising temps in the next 30 years. I can definitely see it, the average season in Ohio last 10 years has left resorts barely able to stay open mid-season

yupp. My local used to open like clockwork on black Friday. Now they struggle to be open by Christmas.

People really do not talk about it enough, the election was effectively stolen but 9/11 happened later that year and fried just about everyone’s brain and history moved forward.

Cops got called today because two kids crashed into each other and both kids were mad each other and one kid wanted to fight so then one dad threatened to beat the shit out of one of the kids which caused the other dad to want to square up.
Walking back to my truck after work and seeing the sheriff's talking to this one dude who wanted to fight a kid look like a 5 year old who is getting lectured by their mom was pretty funny though.
